Verity opened her eyes. Her blurred vision gradually began to form hazy figures. It took a minute for her to realize that the figures were indeed people and her family.
Sal placed her hands over her mouth to mute her cries while Charity place a comforting arm around her.
Verity tried to make out some words but her voice failed her.
Sal hastily ran to her daughter's side.
She grabbed her daughter's hands "Hush baby, hush. It's okay."
Verity wondered why her mother had tears spilling from her eyes but she couldn't make any sound. She wrecked her brain in an attempt to retrieve her memories but she got nothing a sting of pain.
