I sat down next to my mom facing her so I could look into her eyes. Alarick came shortly after me taking his place in the closest chair and I tried to prepare myself for whatever talk my mom had in mind. I tried to bolster myself, so that no matter what she told me, I promised myself I wouldn’t  cry.  “I had hoped that we would never have to talk like this but it seems that fate is against me once again.” My mom started talking and I already felt like crying, so much for being strong. “You have to go to Eyllwe with Allarick.” My mom said. I knew from Geography  lessons that Eyllwe was an elven city deep in the High forest. Going there meant that I would not see my mom for a very long time, especially since traveling from there was impossible without a car so I could not just buy a ticket
