Chapter 6

"Dad, I'm home." I said as I walk into my house.

And then I go spoilt it all by saying something stupid like 'I love you'

I heard music ringing. I walk into the living room until I see my dad is singing and dancing like really happy.

"Hey sweety, come on have a dance with me." Dad smiles at me.

I roll my eyes and turn off the music player then place my hand on my hips. "What happened?" I raise my eyebrows.

"I'm in love, honey." Dad said to me.

"With who?" I frown.

"Her name is Shelby Corcoran. She is director of a glee club in Carmel High School. She is beautiful and I guess you will love her." Dad smiles at me.

"Uh you're crazy." I simply said and walks upstairs.

"Maddy!" Dad calls my name.

Actually I dont like when dad is having a girlfriend because I'm afraid that he will give all his attention to his girlfriend and beside I dont want to have step-mother.

But I want dad to be happy. I know he is lonely but I cant let him date any woman because I'm afraid that I will lose him.

"Hey sweetie." Dad open my door slowly.

I wipe my tears and take my book. Pretend like I was studying.

"You mad at me?" Dad sit down on the edge of my bed.

I shake my head. "No, I didnt."

"You've been crying because of me?" Dad asks again.

"No,I didnt." I said without looking at dad.

"Honey, dont lie to me. I know you so bad." Dad suddenly hug me.

"I just dont like when you have a girlfriend because I'm afraid that you will give all your attention to her not me and she will steal you from me. I dont want to lose my only one man in this world." I'm crying.

"Hey, you wont lose me. We are just dating doesnt mean that we are getting married, sweety. I wont leave you, you are my only one, you will always be my number one." Dad wipe my tears.

"I'm just afraid. Finn left me and I was thinking that you will leave me then I have nobody." I'm sobbing.

"You wont, honey. I never ever leave you alone. We've been gone through everything together since your mom left us and I wont leave my princess alone. You have me and I have you." Dad smiles at me. "Take a bath and change your clothes, I'll prepare for the dinner." Dad kisses my forehead and walk off from my room.

I wipe my tears and walk to my bathroom to take a bath and change my clothes then have dinner with my only one father.

"Kurt, can I talk to you?" I move my seat next to Kurt.

"What?" Kurt asks.

"You only live with your dad, right? And your dad is dating Finn's mom, right? How you deal with that?" I ask Kurt.

"First of all, I was sad because I though that my dad forget about my mom but then I'm happy since Carole can bring my dad happiness back as long as my dad happy, I'm happy. Why? Oh dont tell me that your dad is in love now." Kurt says to me.

"Yes he is. And I'm afraid that he will leave me alone. By the way you know Shelby Corcoran, Vocal Adrenaline's director?" I said to Kurt.

"She is Rachel's biological mother. Dont tell me that your dad is dating her." Kurt gasps.

"What? First her daughter ruined my relationship and now her mom is steal my dad?" I gaps.

"Oh God. Mom and daughter are same." Kurt roll his eyes.

I just let out a sigh and look the front. I will make dad break up with that woman.

"Hey guys, I found some music sheets that I guess I can sing for the solo on sectionals." Rachel walks in.

"Hobbit slut!" I mumbled out loud.

"Excuse me?" She frowned at me.

"You know what? You ruined my life. First, you ruin my relationship with Finn and second your mom steal my dad from me!" I yell at her.

"I didnt ruin your relationship with Finn!" She protest.

"You did. You know we were dating but you trapped him so he can came to the choir room then you kissed him. And now your mom came to my dad's life and steal him from me. You both are same!" I yell at her.

"You think that your mom will proud when you said this to me?" She yells back at me.

I almost slap her face but I push my hand back and run away from the choir room to find a quiet place.

Finn's POV

"I didnt ruin your relationship with Finn!" Rachel protest

"You did. You know we were dating but you trapped him so he can came to the choir room then you kissed him. And now your mom came to my dad's life and steal him from me. You both are same!" Madison yells at her.

What? Maddy knows the truth? But why she doesnt wanna talk to me? It's proof that I'm not lying to her.

"You think that your mom will proud when you said this to me?" Rachel yells back at her.

Madison almost slap her face but she push her hand back and run away from the choir room.

"What a girl are you. Everyone in this room knows that you are the one who ruined Madison and Finn relationship but you still said no?" Quinn frowns at Rachel and walks away.

"She doesnt have mom. And you said something about her mom? That can make her really hurt. Her mom left her alone with her dad when she was three that's why she can be really hurt when someone talks about her mom. I'm sorry, Rachel but Quinn was right. You are wrong but you dont want to tell Madison the truth." I said to them and walk off.

I walk in the hallways to find Madison. She might be havent forgive me yet but I will try to comfort her. I enter McKinley gymnasium until I saw her crying on Quinn's shoulder. I wanna come but someone stop me.

"You better let her alone for a couple days, dude. I know you're hurt but she is more hurt." Puck says to me.

I just nodded and turn my way with Puck. Looking at her crying really makes me sad and wanna cry too.

Madison's POV

"Q, am I wrong?" I'm sobbing.

"Mad, you're totally right. I cant believe that she could do that to you." Quinn says to me.

"I'm hurt, Quinn. First I lost Finn then her mom steal my dad. I dont like that. I dont want my man go." I'm sobbing.

"Uh stop crying. The head cheerio shouldnt crying like this. Why dont you tell your dad the truth? Your dad really loves you and I guess he will do anything for you and to make you happy." Quinn wipe my tears.

"I should tell my dad everything?"

"Yes, you usually tell him everything right? And I guess you can tell him. Now we better back to the choir room. I cant count how many times you've been crying this week." Quinn stands up and takes my hand.

I wipe my tears and walk behind her. She is right. I've been crying too much this week and it's kinds hardly to see my smile this week.

"Sorry Mr. Schue, Ms. Sylvester called us." Quinn and I walk into the choir room and sit down on the back seat.

"Everything will be fine." Kurt hold my hand and smile at me.

I just give him a smile back and cant say anything. He is the nice one.

"Well, who wanna show their ballad solo today?" Mr. Schue asks.

"Mr. Schue, can I?" Finn raise his hand.

"Take it away, Finn." Mr. Schue says.

Finn walks to the front and whisper something to Brad until the sound of piano coming and he start singing while starring at me.

Finn ended up his song with full of clapping while he kept starring at me through his song and give me a half smile so I did the same thing to him.

The bell rings.

"Alright we will continue this ballad solo tomorrow." Mr. Schue says to us and walk off.

I take my bagpack and walk out from the choir room. "I can take a cab, Q. You can go home alone." I said to Quinn and turn my way to my locker.

I open my locker and take the notebook Finn's mom gave me and put it on my ransel.

"Madison...I wanna apologize. Shelby is my biological mother but I dont live with her. I just know that she is my mom about couple months ago. My dads are gay couple, they used Shelby as the surrogate, they want a woman with inteligent and talent so they choose Shelby. She only want have a family. And about Finn, yes, I trapped him to the choir room and I kissed him but I swear he didnt kiss me back. He doesnt wanna talk to me anymore now. Last, about your mom, I dont know about that. I lived with two dads and you live only with your dad. I know how much you love him. If you wanna beat me, just do it but please avoid my nose." Rachel says to me.

I shut my locker and turn my face at her. "I dont want to beat a girl." I simply said and walk off.

I really wanna beat her but I cant. Because beat a girl is not a thing for me. I just need to give Finn silent treatment so he wont do stupid things again and being trapped like this.

"Hey, you need a drive?" Puck stops his car in front of me while I'm waiting a cab.

"I only have ten bucks to pay the taxi. I dont have any cash anymore." I said to him.

"Nobody ask you to pay." Puck roll his eyes.

"Okay." I sigh and enter the passenger seat.

"You were alone there?" Puck asks.

"I was with a ghost and now she sat down on the back seat." I roll my eyes.

"Haha just kidding. What happened with you and Rachel?"

"Her mother and my dad are dating. I dont like that because sometimes I still wish my mom will back home. I dont want to have step-mother."

"But what about your father? I cant imagine how long your dad havent s*x since your mom left besides when he doesnt have girlfriend? I cant live one week wthout that." Puck says.

"My dad is not like you." I roll my eyes. "I want him to be happy but I dont wanna lose him." I said to Puck.

"You're not gonna lose him." Puck says.

"Wait, where are we going to? My house take that path."

"My place." Puck smirks at me.

I let out a sigh and turn my face to the road. It was stupid to said yes when Puck ask you to drive you home.

"I just want to make you feel better." Puck says to me.

I didnt say anything and keep looking at the road. Until he park his car in front of a house and I guess it's his house.

He walk out from his car. So do I. I hold my ransel and follow him and look around. This is my first time I come here. I keep following him until he bring me into his room and I sit down on the edge of his bed.

"Such a clean room for a boy." I said to him while look around.

"You want drink?" Puck asks.

I shake my head. "No, thanks."

"Ice cream?"

"Dont ask." I chuckle.

"Alright be right back." Puck said and walk off.

I take a remote of TV and turn on the TV then looking at his dvd collections which is full with horror movie until I find a comedy movie so I play it to the dvd player.

"Here." Puck bring me a cone of vanilla ice cream. "There is an ice cream truck near here so I can got it fast." Puck says to me.

"I play this dvd. Your movie genre is full with horror." I said to him.

"Because I love that." Puck says.

I didnt say anything and focusing my eyes to the tv screen while eating my ice cream until it's nothing left.

"I'm wondering if I had a dirty grandpa like that." I laugh so hard.

"I will be the next dirty grandpa, I guess." Puck laughs. "Seriously, I bough that dvd for a long time ago and this is my first time watching it."

"Really?" I turn my face at him.

"Yes..." Puck says and touch my chin.

I keep frozen as he still look onto my eyes deeply and pushes his face closer to me and kissed me while cupping my cheek. I cant handle it and my heart said that I have to kiss him back so I did it. Until we pull our lips each other and pretend like nothing happened.

"There was an ice cream on your lips." Puck says to me.

"It's already 6pm. I have to cook for the dinner or my dad will suspiciouss where the hell I am." I said to him and take my bagpack.

"You mad at me?" Puck raised his eyebrows.

"No. I didnt but seriously I have to go home right now." I said to him and walk off

"I'll drive you home." Puck says and follow me.

We walked out from his house and enter his car. I sit down in the passenger seat and thinking that I shouldnt kiss him back but he is been so nice to me these days. He didnt show me his bad boy side.

"Tell me the direction to your house." Puck says to me.

"Pass that three junction and turn left. Actually you only live five blocks away from my house." I said to him.

"Which one your house?" Puck asks as he turn his car to the left.

"Ummm the white one.... oh over there with Range Rover on the outside." I pointed at my house.

"Whose that Range Rover?" Puck asks.

"My dad." I simply said.

"And the white Ford Fiesta?" Puck asks.

"Mine."

"Alright it seems like your dad already home." Puck says.

"Thanks for drive me home." I half-smile at him and went out from his car.

I wave him a goodbye and he drive away. I enter my house and open my shoea then place it on the shoes rack. "Dad, I'm home." I yell and walk to the kitchen to take a drink.

Until I see a woman is cooking in the kitchen. A brunette woman who has similar face with Rachel. She turn her face at me who is still standing frozen and look at her. "Hey, you must be Madison. I'm Shelby Corcoran." She smiles at me.

"Where is my dad?" I frown at her.

"He said that he is tired so I told him to take a rest and I'm preparing for the dinner." She says to me.

I didnt say anything and walk upstairs to get into my room and change my clothes. What the hell that woman doing here. Oh God.

I change my clothes into a short sweat pants and a sweat shirt. I take my laptop and decided to have a face time with my girls.

"What's up, Maddy?" Quinn asks.

"She is here." I said to them.

"Who do you mean by 'she'?" Santana frowns.

"Shelby Corcoran. Who else?" I roll my eyes.

"Who's Shelby Corcoran?" Brittany asks.

"She is Rachel's mom, Britt." Santana roll her eyes. "Be cool, girl. Be cool." Santana says to me.

"Should I?" I asks.

"Yes, just be cool." Quinn nods.

"Alright thanks." I said to them.

"You called me only for tell me about that?" Santana raise her eyebrows.

"Well Rachel asked for an apologize." I said to them.

"Did you beat her?" Quinn asks.

"I didnt. I dont want to beat a girl." I shake my head.

"Stop the violence!" Brittany says.

"You should beat her next time." Santana says.

"Alright I have to go. See you guys in school tomorrow!" I said to them.

"Remember, be cool." Quinn offlines.

I close my laptop and place it on my study table and lay my body on my bed. They're right. I'm a dark blonde and I will win from a brunette like her. Be cool, Madison. Be cool.

"Honey, dinner is ready." Dad yells.

"Coming!" I yell back.

I went out from my room and walk to the dining room and sit down on the dining table when my dad and that woman sitting on the opposite me.

"I heard you're student of McKinley and join the glee club there. My daughter also there." Shelby says to me.

"I know that. Rachel Berry. Who ruined my relationship with Finn and the one who doesnt want to admit her fault." I said annoyingly and eating my food.

"Honey..." Dad frowns at me.

"That's true. Everyone in choir room knows that." I simply said.

"I will have talk with Rachel. Her dads must be didnt know about this." Shelby says to us.

"You dont live with Rachel but you still care about her." Dad smiles at Shelby.

"Because she is my daughter, Michael." Shelby says to dad.

Ugh I hate this. Come on, dad. Stay in my line. Dont you realize that her daughter ruined your daughter relationship? Ugh.

"Hobbit girl." I simply said.

"Who do you mean by hobbit girl?" Dad frown at me.

"Rachel Berry. Who else?" I raise my eyebrows.

"You really hate Rachel?" Shelby asks me.

"Yes. She trapped Finn and kissed him. Teach your daughter not to be a boyfriend stealer." I glared at Shelby.

"Michael, I think I have to go. I have morning rehearsal with Vocal Adrenaline tomorrow morning. See you." She takes her bags and give my dad a quick kiss and walks off.

"And never comeback." I mumbled.

"Maddy! What the hell was that? I was trying to make you close with her!" Dad yells angrily at me.

"See? What I'm afraid the most is happening now. You love her more than you love me! You even yelled at me like that when everything I said was true!" I'm crying and run away to my room.

I slam my door and lock and still crying in my bed. I just wish that mom is here right now. If I could find a clue where she is right now maybe I would find her now but sadly I cant.
