Chapter 8

I'm layin my body on my bed while listening my mom singing Landslide with a guitar. I might be dont know her but sometimes hearing hee voice really make me feel better.

I dont have her picture. Dad didnt tell me her name and I never ask because I'm afraid that he will sad. But he gave me this tape. A tape when my mom sing a song for me. Dad told me that if she love us, she will back.

Dad said that she is blonde, talented, and can sing. She also have pretty eyes. Now I know why I have dark blonde and have pretty eyes. My mom gave me that. Dad only told me that her name start with H. Sometimes I think that Hillary Clinton is my mom but I know it's impossible.

It's Sunday evening after have a Booty Camp and my dad went out to meet some job-partner. I just hope that he didnt lie and not went out with Shelby.

I'm still laying body in my bed until the door bell rings. It must be dad and he forget to bring his key so he has to disturb me. I let out a sigh and walk upstairs to open the door for him and let him in.

"Dad, I told you......--Finn?" I raise my eyebrows as I see Finn is the one who standing in front of my door. "Come in." I said to him and let him in.

"We have glee club assignment together right? So I came here and about ask you about what song are we gonna sing." Finn says to me.

I close the door and lock the door. "Lets talk about that in my room. I found some music sheets this morning." I said to him and walk upstairs to my room.

I sit down on my bed and read some music sheets with the Landslide song still playing. "You still love this song." Finn chuckle and sit down on my bed.

"Sometimes when I miss her I only can listen to her voice." I sigh.

"Why dont you try to find her?" Finn asks.

"I dont wanna make dad sad. He can guess what I'm thinking and doing by only look into my face." I said to Finn.

"Okay forget about this, I dont wanna make you sad. So what song are we gonna sing?" Finn asks and layin his body on my bed.

"I dont have any idea. What about you?"

"Me too." Finn simply says.

"And then what are you doing here?" I turn my face at him.

"Dont we usually spend the weekend together? So I came here and meet you." Finn smirks at me.

"But Finn we...."

"Broke up? Maddy, you know that I'm not lying to you but why you still act like I did a mistake. I'm sick seeing you cry because of me and I cant hug you. You might think that we are not dating but for me we are still dating and you're still mine." Finn sit up from my bed and looking at me.

I dont know what to say. Finn is right. I know that he wasnt lying to me and he didnt do a mistake but I always avoid him when deep down, I love him and I miss him.

"Say something please." Finn hold my hand.

"Finn, I'm sorry. At first I didnt trust you but day by day I realized that you wont do stupid things like that. I mean, you just wanna help her but you got trapped. I know I'm the selfish one. I dont even let you to explain everything and give you silent treatment when you are not even wrong. I'm sorry." I'm crying.

Finn move his seat and hug me. "Ssshhh stop crying. I'm so sick seeing you cry because of me. I dont even see your smile this week and it was really make me sick. You're not wrong, you're just jealous and I know that. Mad, I love you, so much. And I just wanna hug you like this everytime you sad and comfort you, I still want to be the reason you smile everyday. This is such a hardweek for me and I hate that because you're not around me." Finn says while rubbing my hair.

I pull his body away slowly and wipe my tears. "I was stupid to let you go but I know that you never let me go. You're my happines, Finn. Just dont let go away anymore."

"I'm here. I'm right here and I wont go away or let you go. And that was last breaking up with you because I dont wanna break up with you anymore." Finn kissed my forehead.

"Me too." I smile at him.

"Okay so what song are we gonna sing?" Finn smiles at me.

"I told you, I dont have any idea." I chuckle.

"Without rehearsal we can do our ballad." Finn says and go back layin his body on my bed.

I lay my body on my bed next to him and turn my face at him. Finn turn his face back at me and smiles at me. I just smile back at him until he pushes his face closer to me and kiss my lips and I kiss him back. My precious thing is back now.

"I miss you." Finn rubs my cheek.

"I miss you too, Finn." I smile at him.

We still laying our body in my bed and looking at each other without saying anything. This is what I call my romance with Finn. We can do something like this about thirty minutes or more.

And then I go spoilt at all but saying something stupid like I love you

"How long we still wanna layin in this bed and listening your dad and your mom singing from the tape?" Finn asks me.

"As long as you want to do this with me." I turn my face at him.

"Of course I want to." Finn smiles back at me.

"I think I know what song we are gonna sing." I sit up from my bed.

"What?" Finn asks.

"We will do mash-up. This." I give my music sheets to Finn.

"And we are gonna win this ballad." Finn smirks at me.

"There is no competition for this ballad, Finn." I said to him. "By the way, I'm hungry. You want to eat something?" I ask Finn.

"But you teach me how to cook again."

"Sure. What food you want to eat?" I ask Finn.

"You." Finn pull my hand and make me fall on top of him.

"I know you miss doing this with me but seriously, I'm hungry now." I pouted at him.

"Someone told me that when you hungry just hug them." Finn put his hand around my back.

"Who told you that?" I chuckle.

"You." Finn smirks at me.

"I was lying. It was a stupid terminology. That day I just wanna hug you."

"Okay I'm also lying and now I just wanna hug you."

"Finn, wanna bake cookies?" I raise my eyebrows.

"With oreo and chocolate chips?" Finn asks.

"Yes." I nod. "Want it? I'll teach you how." I move my body from his body.

"Alright." Finn nods.

"Well come on my big guy." I pull his hand to make him stand up and walk lead him to downstairs.

"Since when you wear a lipstick?" Finn stop his way and frown at me while holding a lipstick.

I turn my way and walk to him. "That's not mine. Ah damn that must be Shelby. Give me that and I'll throw it into the trash and burn it." I take that lipstick from Finn's hand and throw it into the trash.

"Babe, that's rude." Finn frowns at me.

"I dont like her, Finn." I simply said.

"I know but you shouldnt did that."

"Then I have to deal with it? I dont like when my dad have a girlfriend. I want to have a mom but I want that person is my mom. I'm sure that my mom is still alive and she is not far from here. Beside I dont want to lose dad and having a step-mother is not a thing for me. I'm trying to accept her and make dad happy but I cant accept any woman except my mom, Finn." Tears slowly fall down from my face.

Finn suddenly come over to me and hug me and rub my hair. "I'm sorry, I dont mean to. Stop crying, it hurts me when I have to see you cry."

"I'm not as strong as what people think."

"Listen, Maddy. Whoever you are, I will always love you. No matter what." Finn pull his body and wipe my tears.

I didnt say anything until Finn let me to sit down on the dining table and he walk to the kitchen to bake some cookies. I wipe my tears and looking at him. He will always be the one who bring my happiness.

"Flour first or egg first?" Finn asks me.

"Flour first, Finn." I said to him and walk to him. "What the hell with this?" I frown at him.

"Sugar and flour." Finn simply said.

"Errr give me that." I take that big bowl from Finn's hand.

"No." Finn shake his head and hold it hard.

"Give me that, Finn." I try to get it from Finn's hand.

We are pulling that big bowl each other until that big bowl fall to the ground with a loud bang and our face also our clothes full with flour.

Suddenly Finn laugh so hard when he look at me. "You're just like a white snow." Finn laughs.

I take a handful of cocoa powder and throw it at him. "You become a white chocolate, baby." I laugh.

"You are white snow extra chocolate chips." Finn throw chocolate chips at me.

"You need more sugar so you can be more sweet." I throw sugar to his face.

"More chocolate." Finn throw cocoa powder to my face.

We are keep throwing those flour each other and laughing at each other. Until we stop doing this and look at each other.

Finn flip my hair to my earlobe and smile at me. "You're beautiful."

I just give him a shyly smile until he pushes his face closer to me and about to kiss me.

"Honey, I'm home!" Dad yells.

We are pretend like doing nothing now. Finn strech his back of his neck and giggle. I did the same thing like him.

"What are you guys doing?" Dad frowned at us.

"Hey Mr. Collins, we were baking." Finn giggle.

"Yeah we were baking, dad." I giggle.

"Oh okay, have fun." Dad frowns at us and walks off.

Finn and I look at each other and giggle. It's such a stupid thing that we've done but it was fun. I never feel better than today.

"I love you." Finn look onto my eyes deeply.

"I love you too." I smile at him.

Finn smiles back at me and take that big bowl that fall to the ground and give me. We then start baking the cookies together now.

"Okay so the cheerios and the marching band will have rehearsal together." Janice says to me.

"Yes, so see you tomorrow in the field." I said to her and wave her a goodbye and walk to my locker.

I open my locker and put my book into my locker and fixing my hair from the mirror inside my locker.

"You're already beautiful." A voice shocked me.

I turn my face and Puck smirks at me. "What do you want now?" I raise my eyebrows.

"Look, I wanna apologize. Santana and I were not a thing. So Breadstix at 7 tonight?" Puck raise his eyebrows.

"I'm sorry, Puck but I'm getting back together with Finn." I half smiled at him.

"Fine." Puck simply says and about to walk off.

I shut my locker and stop him. "Puck, I'm sorry." I said to him.

"You know what? You are the first girl who rejects me." Puck says to me.

"We are nothing, Puck." I said to him.

"We ain't nothing." Puck shake his head.

"Hey, you both have project again?" Finn suddenly come to us and put his hand around my shoulder.

"No, we are discussing how unfair the teacher gave the score. Well, I have to practice my ballad with Mercedes." Puck says to us.

"Okay. We have same class together now." Finn says to him.

Finn keep put his hand around my shoulder as we walk together and leave Puck. I turn my face at him a bit an confused. What does he mean by 'we aint nothing'?

I dont know why but I still remember the way he kissed me and I though it was something but he is same just like any other guys.

"You okay?" Finn asks me.

"Just little bit nervous with glee club today." I said to Finn.

"We are gonna make it." Finn smiles at me.

I nod and smiles back at him and entered our classroom for the next period.

Puck's POV

I saw her walk away with Finn hold her. Damn! Why I can be so stupid with a thing called love!

"Puck, shouldnt we practice for ballad assignment?" Mercedes frowns at me and turn her way to the choir room.

I let out a sigh and turn my face back. Finn and Madison are smiling at each other with Finn still hold her shoulder.

I should be the one who hold her shoulder now not Finn. I know he is my bestfriend but his girl make me fall in love with her and what shall I do? I dont even know.

"Okay we have to sing this song so we wont lose from Finn and Madison." Mercedes give me some music sheets.

"Why should we lose from them?" I raise my eyebrows.

"Because they are the strongest couple in glee club, okay." Mercedes frowns at me.

"No. They're not." I shake my head.

"Puck, stop being so annoying!" Mercedes glare at me.

"I'm jealous okay! Everyone like talking about them and them. Everyone in this school talking about Finn and Madison relationship and how cute they are. The quarterback and the cheerios captain." I said to Mercedes.

"You jealous with Madison because Finn mostly spend his time with her?" Mercedes frowns at me.

"No, but with Finn." I said calmly. "I like Madison. And I kissed her, maybe it was nothing for her but for me it was a thing. That song on ballad solo last week was for her. But now, she is back into Finn's arm. How lucky Finn is." I sigh.

"Puck, she chooses Finn and you have to accept that." Mercedes says to me.

"I'm trying." I sigh.

Madison's POV

"You okay?" Finn asks me again.

"Finn, you've been asking about that more than once." I whisper at him.

"Because you seems quiet and that's not you." Finn whisper back.

I hold his hand and smile at him. "I'm fine. Dont worry."

"Just tell me if there is something wrong." Finn smiles back at me.

I nod and turn my face back to the front to listen what the teacher says. I'm still wondering about the things Puck said to me.

Glee Club

Finn and I walk into the choir room for the glee club and sitting on the back seat next to each other. I look around until my eyes meet Puck's and he just turns away.

"Let start the ballad duet today!" Mr. Schue walks in. "Forget to tell that the couple who win this ballad will get duet for sectionals." Mr. Schue smirks at us.

Finn and I look at each other and hi-five. We are optimist that we are gonna win this.

"Mr. Schue, to the point, the one who will this of course Finn and Madison. They are getting back together because of your assignment." Kurt raise his hand.

"Well let see. It's hard to do ballad and no PDA at the end, Kurt. Let see they can handle this or not. Who wanna start first? Finn?" Mr. Schue asks Finn.

"The other first." Finn says.

"Alright, who wanna start first?" Mr. Schue asks.

"Can we?" Tina and Mike raise their hands.

"Sure." Mr. Schue nodded and walk to the back row and sit down there.

Tina give the music sheets to the band and they start singing. The sing L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole. Not bad and they have chemistry I guess.

I cross my hand around Finn's hand and lean my head on his hand. "We are gonna win this, right?" Finn smirks at me.

"Of course." I smile at him. "I already prepare the song we are gonna sing on sectionals in we win this." I smirk at Finn.

"You're the best!" Finn strokes my hair.

"I know I am." I chuckle.

Tina and Mike ended up their song without PDA. I give them an applause then they walk back to their seats.

"Next." Mr. Schue says.

Quinn and Artie is the next one. They both walks to the front and sing a song. They sing All You Need Is Love by The Beatles and it's kinda cool I think.

"They're cool." I whisper at Finn.

"They had chemistry." Finn whisper back at me.

I simply nodded and look at them. They not only doing ballad but they enjoy the song. I'm curious now how can Quinn did that. I mean she is gay but she tried to built chemistry with Artie.

They ended up their song and go back to their seat. The next one is Puck and Mercedes. They sing Need You Now by Lady Antebellum and it was the song I would sing with Finn actually but I change my mind.

They were cool and Puck seems enjoy it also Mercedes. They ended up their song and go back to their seat but nobody want to the front.

"Okay, next?" Mr. Schue asks.

Finn and I look at each other and nod then hi-five. We walk to the front and I give the music sheets to the band.

"Hit it!" I said to the band.

The band start playing the music. Finn and I look at each other and walk around the piano like we are trying to catch each other. Those other couples didnt do this before.

We ended up our song with look at each other's eyes deeply and Finn hold my hand. I didnt know that this song is quiet romantic and Finn is really hold not to kiss me I guess.

"Wow you both doing a mash-up?" Mr. Schue asks us.

"Yes, Crazy by Aerosmith and You Drive Me Crazy by Britney Spears." I said to Mr. Schue.

The bell rings.

"Alright, we will continue this tomorrow." Mr. Schue says and walks off.

The others take their bag and walk off. Finn and I still standing on the front and he still looking at me.

"What?" I raise my eyebrows.

"I wanna kiss you actually but I hold it." Finn giggle.

"You can kiss me now." I smile at him.

Finn grabs my hips and lift me up in the air as I put my hand around his shoulder and he kiss me while holding my hips. He can be really sweet sometimes.
