Chapter 31

New York

Finn's POV

"You sure you can sing that song with Rachel?" Puck asks me.

"Yeah maybe, I'll try. I do it for Madison." I said to Puck.

"If you cant. I'll try to talk to her and make her understand so she will have duet with you." Puck says.

"You dont need to, man. I can handle that."

"Dude, you love her more than I love her. You're in New York, the city of love." Puck says to me.

"I though it was Paris." Sam frowns.

"Wait, what do you mean?" I frown at Puck.

"You love her and she loves you. I know that she refused the duet because of me but I dont force her to refused that. I cant stand to be in the middle of you both anymore. Just get her back and I'm fine." Puck says to me.

"You give up?" I raise my eyebrows.

"Kind of. I see what you did on the prom was trying to protect her. Get her back." Puck hold my shoulder.

"Puck, she did that for you. I should be the one who back off not you." I said to Puck.

"I know you love her more than I did. I will try my best to stay in a friendship with her." Puck halfsmiled at me.

"Dude, you're the best man in this world." I'm smiling happily.

"I know I am." Puck smirks then chuckles.

"Thank you so much!" I hug him.

"Stop hugging me like a gay, dude." Puck laughs.

I just laugh. I cant believe that Puck really said that. I mean he told me that he want to back off and it's mean that I got a big chance to get Madison back.

Madison's POV

"Alright, I will say to him." I said to the Quinn.

"To who?" Quinn raises her eyebrows.

"Puck. I will tell him that I love him and I want him back into my life." I said.

"So you choose Puck? He is a bad guy." Santana says.

"I see his good parts and I will tell him before nationals begin." I said to the others.

"What about Finn?" Quinn asks me.

"I dont know." I sigh.

Actually I dont know which one I should choose. Puck has a good side that nobody knows and Finn always protect me but since that day accident, I just realized that Finn cant hold his anger and jealousy problem.

"Girls, rehearsal in one hour." Someone yelled outside the door.

"I gotta go to find some fresh air." I said to the others and take my phone.

I went out from my room and walk around to the corridor until I got into the hotel park with swimming pool and some bleachers to sit also playground for kids.

Puck's POV

I already made my own decision. Maybe my destiny is that I will never have a girl to be falling in love with.

I told Finn that I gave up and I will try my best to built a friendship with Madison. I know that Finn loves her more than I did and I shouldnt be in between them.

I went out from my room to find some fresh air so I sit down on a bench in this hotel park looking some milf swimming.

"Hey..." Madison suddenly sit down next to me and smiles at me.

"What are you doing here?" I raise my eyebrows.

"I have something to talk actually." She said shyly.

"Me too." I said to her.

"Okay, you first because mine is not really important." She said to me.

"I told Finn that I want to stop competing with him. You can go back into his arm without think about me anymore. He loves you more than anything. He is a good guy and I'm just a jerk and the school jokes. I dont worth your love. Just go back to him and have duet with him. We can be friends." I said without looking at her.

At least I already told her everything and I wont feel guilty anymore even nobody look at me like the way she look at me. She changed my whole life and I just know that my weakness is falling in love with her.

"What the things you wanna say by the way?" I turn my face at her.

"It's nothing. I just like this place." She giggles.

"Go get to your room it's freezing." I simply said and leave her alone.

Madison's POV

"I have something to talk actually." I giggle.

"Me too." He said to me.

"Okay, you first because mine is not really important." I answered.

"I told Finn that I want to stop competing with him. You can go back into his arm without think about me anymore. He loves you more than anything. I just can be quiet. I was about to tell him that I want him back into my life but now he said that want to back off and stop competing with Finn. I dont know what to say right now. This is confusing me.

"What the things you wanna say by the way?" He turn his face at me.

"It's nothing. I just like this place." I giggle.

"Go get to your room it's freezing." He simply said and walk off leave me alone.

I'm still sitting down in this bench. I dont know what to do right now. I dont know whether I'm happy or sad right now. I dont even know what to do.

Puck just said that he wanna stop this when actually I already decided that I want to choose him.

"Hey New Directions girl, need a friend to talk?" Jesse St. James from Vocal Adrenaline smirks at me.

"No." I simply said and glare at him.

"Stay away from her, dude." Finn interupts us.

"Your girl, huh?" Jesse raises his eyebrows.

Finn takes my hand. "Yes and we have rehearsal now." Finn hold my hand and walk lead me.

This is the things that I always make me cant choose. Finn always come to protect me from any kind of danger like a superman and Puck always come to make me feel better with his wise words.

"Isnt that Jesse St. James?" I ask Finn.

"Yes, be careful. He is a player."

"Player? What sports he is in?"

Finn put his hand around my shoulder. "Player with girls. Not in a game." Finn chuckles.

"So if you kick him, he cant kick you back right?" I chuckle and put my hand around Finn's waist.

"I'm bigger and taller than him. It's easy to kick him." Finn chuckles.

"Now I know why coach Tanaka choose you to be quarterback that day, because you big and you can against them." I chuckle at Finn.

"You want to have duet with me?" Finn asks me. I shake my head. "Why?"

"Because if we lost, I want to blame you and yell at you." I grin at him.

"That's so mean." Finn rolls his eyes.

"Haha just kidding. How could you find me there?"

"My room is near there and everytime I wanna go to the place we have rehearsal, I have to pass that park so I found you there. What about you?" Finn raises his eyebrows.

"I was looking for fresh air." I giggle.

"Wanna walk around after rehearsal? I mean outside the hotel. We can go to the Time Square or Sardi's."

"Sounds cool." I smile at him.

Finn just smile back at me and keep put his hand around my shoulder until we got into our rehearsal place and we leave our body each other and rehearsal with the others.

I change my clothes after having rehearsal. I wear a black legging, a long sleeve shirt, and a shawl also my ankle boots. I let my hair down and ready to go out with Finn.

"You want to go out with Puck?" Santana asks me.

"It's Finn." I simply said.

"Wait, you told us that you want to tell Puck the truth?" Santana frowns.

"Yeah but before I tell him the truth Puck told me that he want to back off and want me to back into Finn's life. And I didnt say anything to him." I said.

"That's cruel." Brittany says.

"I know. Finn always come to me like a superman and protect me beside that Puck always can make me feel better and give me advices. This is make me confused." I sigh.

"One sentences. Enjoy your high school." Santana smirks at me.

"I will." I chuckles.

"Since Quinn off the team which mean that I'm officially the co-captain of cheerio and we are gonna rule this school." Santana grins.

"Yeah we will." I smirk at them.

"Like the way it should be." Brittany giggles.

"Where is Quinn by the way?" I ask them.

"Went out with Jewberry." Santana simply said.

"Alright, I'm going out." I said to them and went out from my room.

I walk in the hotel corridor and turn my way to the hotel park until I see Finn went out from his room. Maybe what Puck said is right, I'm belong to him.

Finn turn his face at me and smile at me so I smile back at him. We walk closer to each other then he shows me his hand and we holding our hand each other while walking together.

"Where are we going to?" I ask Finn.

"Feel the cold wind in New York." Finn smiles at me. "The City of Love." Finn chuckles.

"It's Paris, Finn." I smile at him.

"I know. Just want to see your smile." Finn smiles back at me.

I just chuckle and smiling shyly at him as we still walk together in the New York City. Such a big and beautiful city even it's almost evening.

We then turn our way to the central park. The beautiful and famous one. We then sit down on a bench with flowers and grass around us. Quiet romantic I guess.

"I'm happy to be here with you right now." Finn smiles at me.

"Me too." I smile back at him.

"You mean you happy to be here with yourself now?" Finn raises his eyebrows.

I roll my eyes and sigh. "I mean, I'm happy with you." I giggle.

"You dont jealous if I have duet with Rachel?"

"Why should I? She has a girlfriend."

"That's kinda awkward when you said 'she has a girlfriend' like really." Finn chuckles.

"So what the hell are we gonna do here?" I ask Finn.

"Having our romance day." Finn smirks at me.

"I like the song you wrote. I cant believe you could wrote that amazing song." I smile at him.

"It was the only way how I express our relationship. I mean, we both know that we love each other but we pretend that we dont have any feeling at all. I just cant stand with that. I'm asking myself how long we want to keep that so I wrote it down on a song." Finn hold my hand.

"For now, we dont need to hide and pretending again. If you love me just say it. You dont need to hide anymore." I said to him.

"I love you so much." Finn smiles at me.

"I love you too, Finn." I smile back at him.

We just smiling at each other until we push our face closer to each other and we share a kiss while Finn cup my cheek.

We pull our lips each other and smiling at each other. I just hope that this is the best choice to give Finn another chance.

Suddenly a phone is ringing. I turn my face and Finn take his phone from his pocket and look something.

"You hungry? Mr. Schue said that we have a dinner now in our hotel." Finn says to me.

"Cool. And yes, I'm hungry." I chuckle.

"I know that." Finn chuckles and stand up.

I stand up from my seat then he put his hand around my shoulder and I put my hand around his waist as we walk together to go back to our hotel.

Nationals

Now we are in the green room and get ready for the performance today. I'm kind of excited and nerve actually but I hide it. I usually face the championship like this. I mean cheerleading squad championship.

Finn suddenly come to me while I'm fixing my hair in front of the mirror. He shows me his tie and grins at me. I just can rolls my eyes and fix his tie.

"You look beautiful." Finn smiles at me.

I just chuckle and roll my eyes. "Dont tease me when I'm fixing your tie or I will strangle your neck."

"Seriously, you are the most beautiful girl that I've ever seen." Finn put his hand around my waist.

I put my hand around his neck and kiss him softly and then he kissed me back.

"Finn, Madison, stop. The others get ready because after Vocal Adrenaline is our performance." Mr. Schue says to us.

Finn and I stop kissing at each other then walk out from the green room to the audience seat and watching Vocal Adrenaline's performance with a solo from Sunshine Corazon.

She seems look nervous but Rachel stand up and give her an applause until the others follow to support her and cheer her up.

She start singing and like what Tina said. They performing original song. After this it's time for our performance. I trust Finn and Rachel to do this.

"You can beat her." Finn says to me.

"I cant, Finn." I shake my head.

"Okay I dont wanna force you." Finn kissed my head.

Vocal Adrenaline finishes their performance. We stand up from our seat and walk to the backstage and get ready for our performance and show circle.

"We are gonna make it in New York! So in three!" Mr. Schue says to us.

Finn turns his face at me and give me a hug. Curtains still fall down and Rachel walks to the opposite. Until the music begin and curtains lift up.

We ended our performance with full of cheering and applause from the audience and this is amazing.

It's been two hours we are waiting in green room and waiting for the winner announcement.

"Guys, there will be two rounds. The top 10 team will go to final round and the loser will go back to their city tomorrow morning. The final round will be held in two days from now." Kurt walks in with Rachel.

"This is make me more depressed." Finn says.

I tried to calm him down and rub his back while sitting next to him. "Everything will be fine, Finn."

"The top 10 must be already listed about one hour ago." Kurt says to us.

"I'll try to get it. Dont go anywhere." Mr. Schue says to us and walks off.

I keep comforting Finn then lean my head on his shoulder. Waiting for the winner announcement or at least we got into the top ten.

Mr. Schue finally back with a paper on his hand and look nerve to us. Oh God. I dont know what is gonna happen right now.

"How?" Mercedes asks.

"We open and read this together okay." Mr. Schue says to us.

We then make a circle and Mr. Schue open the list. I read the team one by one until the end and New Directions is not on the list.

"Mr. Schue, is it mean that we...?" I raise my eyebrows.

"Damn! This is awful! You should be the one who has duet with me not Rachel because we dont have vocal chemistry!" Finn yells angrily at me.

"Finn calm down!!" Mr. Schue yell at Finn.

I just being quiet and let my head down. This is awful. I avoid to have solo or duet so someone wont blame me but I was wrong.

Finn takes my body and hug me tight. "I'm sorry, baby. I'm sorry, I'm just upset and disappointed." Finn hug me and kisses my head.

I didnt say anything and hug him back. I know that the others are disappointed. I can say that our setlist was worst and maybe that caused us lost in this game.

I just hope for the best and I hope that this glee club wont be disbanded and we will have our amazing senior year after this.
