Sleeping Beauty

The birthday of the child was celebrated in all over the country . On the day of naming ceremony of the child , the King ordered all his subjects to stay in his palace , singing and dancing . A grand feast was arranged . The king , specially invited three angels in that ceremony . The angels arrived in time . The guests began to give gifts to the child . Suddenly , an aged woman appeared infront of the palace . She angrily came near the King and said , " Hey ! King , you didn't invite me to the ceremony . You insulted me . I will curse you for it " . The King was very sad . He requested to the woman , " you give parden to me . I enquired you everywhere . But I couldn't find you . Kindly accept may hospitality and bless my child .. She sat with the angels . At the end of the cer emony one by one started to bless the child . One of the angels had certain doubt in the behaviour of the aged woman . That angel deliberately waited to bless the child last time . The turn of the aged woman , to bless the child , had come . She was a witch . Instead of blessings the child , she cursed , " At the age of 1.7 , the finger of her leg will touch the wheel of a sewing machine and that moment she will die . Then she went out of the palace as a tempest . " When they heard her curse , the queen swooned and the king wept . Everyone was in sad . Atonce , the angel came near the child and blessed , " She will not die ' at the age of seventeen . In stead of it , she will fall into sleep for 100 years when she touches the wheel of a sewing machine . Then a prince who likes the princess , will come to touch her and she will awake from her sleep " . Everybody was surprised , The sleep which will last for 100 years . Thus the happy ceremony ended in unhappy situation . The King ordered to destroy all sewing machines in his country

Years elapsed . The Princess was at the age of seventeen . One day she was sitting alone in the gar den . She saw a huge fort in a distant place . Suddenly , a desire arose in her mind . She wished to go there and see the sights around the fort . Secretly , she went alone to the fort . Climbing up , step by step , she reached on the top of the fort . There she saw a lady sewing on a machine . The Prin cess was surprised to see the sewing machine . She touched on it . Unknowingly her leg touched on the wheel of the machine . At once the princess fell into sleep . The lady called out the people for help . The King was worried so much . He lay the princess in a decorated room . That moment , the angel arrived at the palace . The angel raised her magic wand and everyone in the palace fell into sleep . Gradually forest and trees grew up around the palace . With the help of her magic wand , the angel sent away 100 years quickly . Ondeday a prince and his friends of the neighbouring country came for hunting . While they were walking through the thick forest , they saw a palace . His friends feared to enter the palace . They persuaded the prince to return to their country . But some magical power inspired the prince to go inside of the palace . Slowly he entered to the rooms of the palace . Every rooms , he saw , some people were sleeping . At last he came to the room where the princess was sleeping . He saw the beautiful princess was sleeping there . He was fascinated to her . Gently , he caressed her . Suddenly , the princess awoke from her long sleep . Then others also started to awake . The King and the queen told their tale to the prince . The prince married the princess and lived hap pily for a long time ...
