Richard sprung into action, making sure everyone in the coven that was eligible to fight knew at least the basics. That meant men, women, and children above the age of ten. The younger children, the pregnant, and the elders were to be kept safe from the fight if the townspeople were to come. Richard engrossed himself completely into preparing the estate and his people, that he barely had time to eat or sleep or check on his very pregnant wife. Elizabeth understood that his priorities were to all of his people and would never hold that against him. She was worried however that the mental state of her husband would be the last memories of him and that, she just couldn’t bare the thought of. As soon as Elizabeth started her labor, Richard rushed to her side. After many hours of sweating and crying, she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Richard held the baby in his arms and couldn’t believe he was lucky enough to experience this moment. Unfortunately for Elizabeth her pain never ceased. The doctored informed them that she would be giving birth to twins, the second set of the day actually. Richard was hopeful that this child would be the boy that they needed. After twelve minutes, the second child was born, another girl. Heidi and Victoria were the names that popped into Richards head. And Elizabeth agreed. After a swift exam by the doctor, the elated couple were told that they were wrong. They would not being having twins but instead triplets. Richard was in complete shock as his wife delivered their third child, all girls, but felt so overjoyed to be there in that moment. Elizabeth suggested the name Chevonne and Richard couldn’t disagree as he both liked the name as well as naming the first two children. He would do anything in that moment to make his wife happy. Within the hour, Richard was informed by his advisor that there was word from the townsfolk that they were coming and did not mean to negotiate. He felt immediate fear; it wasn’t just he any longer. He had to fight for his family and for his people. He left his wife and his three children to gather everyone together for an announcement. After informing the roughly 300 people in the coven of the new of battle. He gathered all the children, including babies born that day, in the ball room of the estate. He must choose his successor in the events that he would die during this battle and had no male heir to take his place. He could feel the radiating power of each of the children even though they were not at their full potential. He stopped when he came across an infant born earlier that day. He could tell there was great power to be gained. As Richard looked over the child he realized he was a twin and couldn’t possibly choose between this child and his brother. His search continued. He stumbled across another infant born that morning. This boy seemed to radiate the most power in the room and knew that it was the right choice. Richard made an ordinance that this boy would be his successor. The elders were there to see to it that this would be the case. After this, he rushed back to his wife sure that this would be the last time he’d see her or hold her in his arms.
