12 Laura “You haven’t spoken to him at all?” Karissa asked. I shook my head. Karissa and Sofia came over for dinner after work. We were still getting to know Sofia, but when I realized Piper worked every Thursday night at O’Kelley’s and Sofia was usually alone, I invited her over instead of risking seeing Nico at the bar again. “I don’t blame you,” Sofia said.
