“You haven’t spoken to him at all?” Karissa asked.
I shook my head. Karissa and Sofia came over for dinner after work. We were still getting to know Sofia, but when I realized Piper worked every Thursday night at O’Kelley’s and Sofia was usually alone, I invited her over instead of risking seeing Nico at the bar again.
“I don’t blame you,” Sofia said. She twisted her blonde hair into a ponytail and tied it up. “I wouldn’t be happy about that either, and I don’t date.”
Karissa nodded. “I don’t know what he was thinking, but he’s always been a little odd. I don’t know if he understands social norms. I guess Veronica didn’t teach him how to be a good date.”
It still hurt to think about him with Veronica, even if I knew he wasn’t right for me. “Well, she can have him all to hers
