I stretched and yawned. I felt…well rested, which was highly unusual for me. A hand slid up my chest and I smiled. “Good morning.”
“Good morning,” Laura said. “Want some breakfast?”
I grabbed her hand and pulled her on top of me. She took care of me the night before, making sure I ate and giving me space to think. I’d never been with a woman who was understanding of the way I worked, but Laura was. She wasn’t trying to pretend so I wouldn’t end things. She really got it.
