Days passed with no word from Nico. Ally said he was fine and that he was taking a few days off, but she had a look in her eyes that said she knew something else, something she couldn’t, or wouldn’t, tell me.
I called him and messaged him and waited, but it was radio silence in response. He was ghosting me. My boyfriend, my boss, was ghosting me.
