Chapter 5Lani sat in the park with her nemesis Bentley at the end of a long, royal blue leash. The least she could do was take the stupid mutt for a walk. After all, Aunt Bess had been nice to her and let her pretty much do anything she wanted to do within reason. Freedom had a price and walking the dog seemed like a pretty good deal. The fresh air outside the house helped her allergies. Even though the spoiled dog drove her nuts, as long as they weren't indoors, her breathing felt better.
