Chapter 7Outside of the drama caused by the flooded road and rescue, the anniversary trip had been fun. Penny and John had stayed right on The Strip. John's sister, Bess had played in a yearly poker tournament and the room, food and even a couple of shows had been comp'd. Even though the sun had come out, they rarely ventured outside of the enormous resort hotel, except to walk to a musical revue. The luxurious swimming pools at their resort had a tropical theme, reminding them of Hawaii. The entire trip had been a wonderful sensory experience filled with colorful memories and spectacular food.
