Her eyes followed my every movement. Now that my identity was no longer a secret, I was the first to move and Alexa followed my lead.
As I stepped around her, our eyes met for a second and I saw fear and confusion in her eyes. She was looking at me as if I could tell her how our well-thought out plan went to s**t so fast, but I had no answer for her. So I just sent a reassuring smile to her as I walked past her.
At a slow tempo, I made my way to one of the armchairs in front of her and sat down slowly, leaving the one on my right for Alexa.
