When I seen the red eyes, I sniffed the air to see if he was a rogue, but I smelled the most enticing scent of cinnamon and pine. My wolf was spinning in circle howling in my head. Then she said “MATE”. I was shocked and nervous, so I started backing away. The wolf across from me came out of the trees then, it was a huge solid white wolf, and he was looking right at me. He had some pants in his mouth, he slowly came closer and put his pants on the ground and shifted. I looked away blushing, even though being naked to werewolves was completely normal, but I knew he was my mate and was super anxious. I heard him chuckling. “You are more than welcome to look, after all it’s yours”, I could hear the smirk in his voice. I couldn’t find the words so I quickly shook my head, Denali was begging to look at our mate. “Okay, you can look now” he said smirking. When I turned to look at him, it was like looking at a Greek God. He was 6’0, had dark brown hair, brown eyes, a sharp jawline, the perfect set of lips, a chiseled six pack, and big muscular tattooed arms. “You done checking me out now? Don’t worry I like what I see too” he smirked and winked at me. I blushed like a high school girl that just got her crushes attention. I looked up into his eyes and instantly felt the connection. He stepped closer to me “I thought I was never going to find you” I looked up at him confused. “What do you mean?” I asked. He smiles “I’m 23, I thought I didn’t have a mate or that I lost you. What pack are you from?” He asked. “The Night Walkers” I answered involuntarily, just staring into his beautiful brown eyes. I could feel how happy Denali was to have found our mate, she was prancing around wagging her tail. He nodded and leaned his head down to my neck and inhaled. I closed my eyes and inhaled his scent as well.
I opened my eyes and realized what I was doing. I looked at my mysterious mate. “I have to go back now, my pack needs me”. I grabbed my jacket and ran off towards my pack house, leaving my mate standing by the gazebo. Denali was protesting in my mind, wanting to go back to our mate, but I had to get away from there.
I got back to the pack house and ran up the stairs to my room on the third floor. As soon as I got inside my room, I locked my bedroom door, and went and locked my bedroom window. I was scared of what was going to happen next, or if he’d show up to take me away from everything. I walk over to pick my phone up and see I missed a call from Bea, so I called her back and told her everything that just happened.
