LEGAL NOTICE: CEASE AND DESIST
Carrie brought it into my office with her mouth already open — like she wanted to curse but hadn’t picked the right word yet.
“I could light this on fire,” she said, slamming it on the desk.
I gave a dry smile. “Tempting.”
“You don’t have to read it.”
“Yes, I do.”
I picked it up. Slid a blade through the seal.
