The next day in the evening. Jack told Darcy to get dressed up as anytime his friend Luke and his sister Lucy would be coming for dinner.
The doorbell echoed through out the house. The butler ushered a cunning looking man and a wicked looking woman inside. " I dont even like the looks of them Darcy thought to herself . The butler had prepared a roasted turkey cheese and some wine.
During the dinner Luke kept asking her questions which she was not liking while his sister seemed to have had set her affections on Jack. " Jack you look more handsomer then last time i saw you " she said as Jack the earls son blushed a bit.
" So miss Darcy why did you took this trip to ur uncles house and how you met Jack " he asked " This is a long story will tell you later. Have more of the cheese "Jack said passing on the platter to Lucy said " So Jack what have you thought about selling this mansion " Lucy asked Jack suddenly. Luke interrupted her " I have the perfect client whose willing to pay you more amount then the market price for it. "
" But im not interested in selling my fathers mansion he will kill me after he returns. Why dont you just adjust that clause in the will which says that after my father dies i will get this mansion not on condition of me marrying first. Because im in no hurry to marry unless i find someone good. " " Looking for princess charming " Luke laughed. Lucy seemed to have an angry look on her face at this. " In ur search u are missing whats there in front of you " she said.
Darcy was sipping the wine slowly thinking there was, some thing wrong going on here.
" So miss Darcy how you sprained your ankle. The rest is bringing out the pink rose blush on ur face " Luke said. Jack looked with disapproval at his this comment. So he had started his flirting.
The butler entered the dining chambers saying. " Its nearing ten pm. Late in the night. Sir you should get back to your journey fast as its going to rain more heavily now " he said.
Darcy almost felt like laughing at this as she couldn't wait for this dinner to end too.
