"Why did you hide it from me?" Her voice broke the room with all of its stillness.
"Hide it from you?" I ask, and she nods her head and bobs her body along. "What did I hide from you?" I ask. She turned to me, and her eyes were lined with tears such that they looked as though they were twinkling, but she was on the verge of tears.
"I overheard you and Theo yesterday. I don't know what you both are trying to hide from me; I just know that you told him not to tell me something," she said, and I felt bad instantly.
"Oh my goodness, you have misunderstood the entire thing. Is that why you are angry?" I asked, and she nodded.
