I came to in a dimly-lit room. The bed I was lying on felt too firm to be mine.
Where am I? What’s going on?
I blinked and tried to focus on my surroundings. I was in some kind of Medical Facility. The Infirmary at work? As I was scrambling to figure out why I would be in the Infirmary, the pain returned. First, the pain from my ribs when I moved, then the strange pain from nowhere down my side.
It all came rushing back. The tunnel collapse. The horrendous pain that had hit me and the awful crushing feeling, even though there was nothing there. Passing out. Sonrisa yelling...
I must have passed out again and been taken to the Infirmary.
