I gasped. My chest felt tight as the warmth drained from my cheeks. My arms and legs went to jelly.
“Daniel Javolo?” I said aloud, adrenalin rushing through my body. “Daniel Javolo? It can’t be him... could it? No. It can’t be. It’s not possible... Is it?”
I continued to stare at the Vid screen, no longer seeing or hearing what was being broadcast. I couldn’t believe what I’d heard. My mind was reeling and my head felt fuzzy. My legs gave out and I sank to the floor as my hands moved to cover my mouth.
How could Daniel and Javolo be the same person? I’d forgotten Javolo’s first name long ago and not even known Daniel’s surname. Could they be the same guy?
