Chapter 39 When I regained consciousness and my mind was able to focus enough so that I could remember what was going on, I dragged myself — very slowly — on my hands and knees till I reached the Vid. It was still on, reporting on the progress of the rescue. They’d managed to get Nazan out and were in the process of transporting him to the station. He was barely conscious and was in danger of losing his legs through crush injuries. They hadn’t reached Daniel or any of the others yet. The room was spinning and my limbs were like lead. It must take a lot of energy to communicate like that using your mind. Or something... I was clueless when it came to the Talented and their abilities. I needed to contact Katoa, but I didn’t want to speak to Sonrisa; he’d find out I wasn’t in the Infirmary
