VIGGO POV I knew she had been upset with me. I could sense the chill in her voice, and the way her words seemed to cut through the air like shards of ice. The tension between us had been palpable ever since she stormed out of my office, her anger practically radiating off her. But never in a thousand years did I imagine she would come to me seeking help. If I had even a fraction of a clue that she was in such dire need, I would never have let her leave like that.
