Koh Tang K hin swam up onto East Beach and started running through the jungle toward his compound. Even over the shouting and wild firing he could hear a boat engine in the distance. It was moving in the direction of the island—and probably carrying a load of soldiers or police. It was down to a fight on Koh Tang, no doubt in his mind about that at this point.
