Gulf of Thailand A t dawn following a GPS heading out of port, they steered the junk on a southeasterly course pushing easily through a mild onshore swell into the gulf. Shake wanted to make good time covering the 350 kilometers from Sattahip to the islands off the Cambodian coast where he wanted to start the hunt. He had one particular island in mind, one that he’d seen once before in a bloody encounter with the Khmer Rouge, but the incident was something he tried not to think about very often.
