Cheryl couldn’t make sense of what she was looking at. It was so grotesque that she wanted to look away. A blinding white glow emanated from the creature, making it impossible for her to look at it too long without hurting her eyes. What glances Cheryl could manage revealed a hodgepodge of limbs and features that made no logical sense. This was some kind of living being, but it was like nothing she had seen before.
