Chapter Eleven ADAM paced back and forth as Cheryl pulled the book from the shelf. The paperback was so lightweight that it was like she was holding nothing in her hand. She sank down to the floor in front of the bookshelf and opened the book to the center page. The musty smell of old paper wafted up to her nostrils. “I can’t believe my niece is gone and you’re going to sit and read a book.” He ran his hand through his chestnut-colored hair.
