Chapter Seven“Have you heard from Sophie?” Juliette asked Ann, as they entered the open elevator. “Nope. Is she not coming today?” Ann sounded surprised. “I thought she was,” Juliette replied, “I've messaged her twice over the weekend. No reply.” “Maybe she's been at that hoover place,” Ann clicked her fingers, trying to remember. “Hanley's,” Juliette supplied, “yes you're probably right, she must be busy.” “The business school really needs to upgrade their lifts,” Ann cast a critical glance round the confined space. It was shabby and the back wall was covered with graffiti. There was an odd stench in the air that reminded Ann of stale clothes and cigarette smoke.
