Saturday 17th of September,2016 Wellington, New Zealand Richelle Smith Honestly I don't see the perks of Noah being in almost the same time zone.My Saturday morning became a lot more boring since Noah is 2 hours behind andhe, of course, isn't awake before 8 am and guess who has to work at 10.Exactly, me. Seriously, this week is horrible. The principal actually wanted to give medetention until the 2 week break, but I have to work every afternoon. Iliterally begged her for something else and luckily she came up with anotheridea. Well, I'm not that happy about it, but she is. I've to tutor some afreshman. Ugh. I'm standing behind the counter at work. I feel like my boss doesn't trustme with anything else, because the only thing I ever do is standing behind thecounter. But on the other hand, she does trust me with money so that's kind ofironic. Some days it's very busy, other days there are maybe 3 customers in anhour. Today it's another quiet day. On days like these I start to think andwhen I think about Noah and I, most of the times, zone out. Which leads to anangry boss... I'm so nervous to meet him. I literally can't wait until 28September. Just 11 more days. In my head I already think about what wouldhappen in the worst case scenario and it doesn't exactly make me smile. Suddenly I see someone waving close to my face. " Richelle!" Ihear my boss' angry voice. Yea, it happened again. I zoned out again. " Richelle,"she says again snapping in front of my face. "Sorry," I apology."I've a family dinner to go to," my boss says ignoring my apology.I'm waiting for her to say more, but soon I realize that that's all she wasplanning on saying. "What does that have to do with me?" I ask alittle confused. "I want to close early," she says, "and by early I meannow." Then she turns around and walks away, not waiting for me to give areaction. What did she actually just say? "Chop chop," my boss yells,"don't have the whole afternoon to wait." Still in a gaze ofconfusion I quickly grab my stuff and walk outside. Well that was weird. Still not understanding what just happened I walk backhome. Looking at the time I see that it hasn't even been 2 pm, which means thatI'll finally have some time for myself this afternoon! Back home I sit back onthe couch and grab my phone out. Maybe June, the girl I'll tutor, can come alittle earlier. After I sent June a text explaining the situation, I send Noah atext. 'And then suddenly my boss had a family dinner and sent me home early,'it says. I throw my phone besides me on the couch and walk to the kitchen to grabsomething to drink. While pouring orange juice into a glass I hear my phonebuzz. I quickly rush back to the couch spilling some orange juice on my way, only to find out that it was June who responded. Great. I was already gettingexcited. 'I can come right now,' it says. 'Great,' I send and lay my phone backdown. I clean up the spilled orange juice and change out of my work clothes. I hear the doorbell ring when I'm walking back downstairs. "Hi,"a girl, probably June (who else can it be), says when I open the door,"I'm June." "Hi," I say giving her a hand, "I'm Richelle.Come in." She seems like a nice girl. Like a very happy person, someonewho always sees something good in a bad situation. We walk to the dining table and she grabs her books out of her back."Math is soo annoying," she says, "my brain just doesn't getit." I laugh slightly. "It isn't that bad," I say, "you'restill a freshman." "Yea," she says sarcastic, "I can't waitto see what kind of math I'll get when I'm a Senior." "I'm sure you'llbe fine," I say and sit down, laying my phone beside me on the table. Noahstill hasn't responded, ugh. "So," I ask when June opens her books, "What is itabout?" "Geometry," June says and sighs. "Trianglesnice," I say looking in her book. June looks at me like I'm crazy."Geometry isn't that bad," I say, "at least it has nothing to dowith graphics, I hate graphics." June laughs. "But they still includethe alphabet which they just shouldn't do," she says. "You know about SOHCAHTOA right?" I ask her, but she looks at melike I just told her a whole story in Chinese. "Then that's where we willbegin," I say laughing slightly. "So if you have a triangle in whichone angle is 90 degrees," I start drawing a triangle, "and you wantto know how many degrees the other angles are, you can use the sine, cosine ortangent." My phone suddenly interrupts me by buzzing, but I just ignoreit. "So whe-" "What was that?" June cutes me off."That was my phone," I say, "I probably got a text.""Yea I'm not that stupid," June says chuckling slightly, but shesounds suddenly kind of nervous. Note to myself, June is quick distracted! "Where were we," I sayturning my attention back to the math, "so-" "From who?"June asks cutting me off again. "I don't know," I say, "but itdoesn't matter right now and it's none of your business either." "Butyour screen lighted up and I just want to know if I really saw what I think Isaw," she says stubborn almost begging me to tell. I grab my phone and quickly read from who I got a text. Noah. I smile, toobad June is here right now. "OH MY GOSH," June exclaims suddenlyjumping up, "did you just got a text from Noah Williams." "Ehyea," I say surprised by her reaction. "Oh my gosh," she saysagain. I laugh slightly. "Do you know who it is?" I ask her. "Ofcourse," she says, "he's like the hottest dude on the planet." Ilook down hiding my blush. "More important," she starts, "how do you know him?!""Oh we're friends," I say. "You're friends," she says,"with Noah Williams." "Yea," I say. "But he lives inCanada," she says. "That's right," I say. "Oh mygosh," June says for the third time and stares forward. I laugh and use the time to read Noah’s text. 'Lucky you! We just arrivedin Melbourne, yesterday's show was amazing, theatres here in Australia are sobeautiful. It's my a pleasure that I get the opportunity to tour here,' itsays. "What does it say?" June asks suddenly. I maybe stared a littletoo long to the text. "Oh nothing," I say turning it off and layingit aside. "THE Noah Williams texts you and you don't react?!" she saysamazed. "Yea," I say, "I'm busy with other stuff.""But he's Noah Williams," June says. "So?" I say,"it's not like he's the king and even if he was, right now we're doingmath." "What?" June says confused and shakes her head slightly,"I'm confused." I laugh. "And we just started with math," Isay. "Can you please fix an autograph for me?" she asks then."No," I say clearly. "Can you ask him to follow me?" sheasks hopeful. "No," I say again. "A picture?" she asks,"free ticket for the tour? And meet and greet?" "No, no andno," I say no chance. June sighs and sits back. "Back to the math then," she saysunimpressed. "Exactly," I say relieved that this subject is over. Ialready know how this will go, news travels fast under Freshmen and beforeMonday they will all know including Bella, Katie's little sister. I somehowhave to prevent that Katie finds out. "So just quick," I say sternly, "you're not going to tellanyone." "Why not?" she says crossing her arms. "BecauseI'm telling you," I say crossing my arms too. "And what if I'm notgoing to listen to you?" she asks. "Than you can go explain why youneed another tutor AGAIN," I say. She sighs and uncrosses her arms."That's threatening," she says annoyed. "I don't care," Isay and turn back to the math. Now I just have to hope that she's not going totell anyone.
