"Good morning," my mother says the next day when she walks intomy room. I dive under my blankets to hide my face. "Hi," I say tryingto sound normal. "You're okay?" she asks. "Yea," I say,"I'm fine." "I'm not convinced," my mom says, "but ifyou say so."
"Can you please leave?" I ask impatient. I hear her walk away andclose my bedroom door. When I think she's not coming back I quietly get out ofmy bed and walk to my bathroom. Don't know actually why I'm trying to be quiet, but I just am. In my bathroom I look in the mirror and instantly burst intotears again.
My face looks horrible. I haven't slept all night. My eyes are puffy andI've big red spots all over my face. I take a long shower and try to not thinkabout what happened yesterday. I don't know what's going on with me, what wasgoing on with me, but I guess I'll never know. It's over. My friendship with Richelle, one of the best friendships I ever had, is over. And it's all my fault.
She's 100% right. I was embarrassed about her. Or actually, I wasembarrassed about my feelings and I still am. I don't know what I feel or whatto feel. She's different, she isn't like all the other girls and I just wish shedoesn't live so far away. I wish I could meet her to get a chance to figure outwhatever is going on with me.
I've never felt like this before. I've never had a girlfriend. Yes I'veliked girls, but that was always just a crush and because how they looked. Idon't know if I like Richelle, maybe I do or maybe she's just a great friend. Two things I know for sure, are that those last weeks were the best of my life, and that I ruined everything with Richelle.
I've said things I didn't mean at all. I was just angry at myself and Isent them before I realized what I was typing. It were frustrations, nothing Richellecan do something about. I don't want to talk to someone else, I genuinely don'tget why she doesn't have more friends and I don't care that she's 'poor'.
She won't read it if I send her that. I should just forget about everythingthat happened, like I never met her.
That evening I go to Eldon’s latebirthday party. I don't want to go, but Max forced me and it's not like I'vesomething better to do. My mom asks questions all the time so by going out I'llprobably get my mind off of Richelle.
"Hello Noah," Max says cheerful when I open the door."Hi," I say and grab my jacket. "Ready to party?" Max asks."Always," I say, although it's the biggest lie ever.
When we arrive at Eldon’s we can already hear laughter outside. Max rubsexcited in his hands. "This is going to be great," he says and weboth walk inside.
I lost Max pretty soon. I'm sitting on a couch not really doing anything. Iwatch how others dance. After a while I sigh and stand up. In the kitchen Igrab a beer for myself and walk with it outside. Outside it's a lot quieter.Autumn is about to begin and it's pretty chilly, but I kind of like it. I sitdown on a bench and take a sip of my beer.
Ugh, gross.
Why did I ever get myself a beer? I don't like beer at all. I watch somepeople passing by who walk from the house to the garage or vice versa now andthen taking a sip from my beer for some unknown reason. I should really go andsee what they all do in the garage.
I'm about to stand up when someone else sits down. "Hello," agirls' voice says. "Hi," I say emotionless. "What are you doinghere outside?" she asks, "the party is inside." "Iknow," I say, "just wanted to be alone."
She laughs slightly. "You wanted to be alone," she repeats me,"at a party." I chuckle, it does sound a little weird."Yea," I say and take another sip of my beer which surprisinglystarts to taste better every sip. "I'm Sara by the way," she saysholding out her hand. "I'm Noah," I say and shake her hand."Nice to meet you," she says. "Nice to meet you too," Isay.
Just then again some people walk by towards the house. "Do you knowwhat they do in the garage?" I ask her. "Yea," she says,"there's food in the garage." "Food," I say, "I lovefood." She laughs again. It's a cute laugh.
"I'm getting another drink," she says then, "do you wantsomething?" "Yea a beer please," I say. I follow her with myeyes as she walks towards the house. She doesn't look bad and her face ispretty cute.
A few beers and a long time later we are both pretty drunk. "You wantto dance?" she asks suddenly. "Why not," I say and stand up. Shestands up too, but falls against me. I try to catch her, but fall too."Whoops," she says and giggles as we both lay on the ground. I laughslightly and stare into her eyes. Our faces are just inches away and suddenlyshe crushes her lips on my.
I kiss back and it soon turns into a rough make out session. I bit herbottom lip making her let out a little moan. I slide my tong into her mouth. Weboth breath heavily when we pull away. I stand up and help her up againnoticing the naughty smile on her face.
"That was fun," she says and pulls me with her inside where themusic is loud and a lot of people are dancing. After a while I sit down andtake another beer, which is probably too much. After that I can't thinkstraight anymore. The night goes by in a rush without being aware of whathappens.
