Chapter 4

" I'll take care of this. It's embarrassing for you" Aaron said to mom.

"It's ok, you should sit down because your a visitor here." said mom then smiled. "Another one, you're my daughter's boyfriend" I was shocked by what mommy said so I immediately looked at the two of them.

"mom!" Isaid . Mom immediately entered the house and left us in the garden.

"sorry about mommy" I said

"So does your mom know?" he asked and I nod as an answer.

"She also knows it's been 3 months?" and I nodded again. I suddenly felt a frown on his face. Earlier, he was very enthusiastic when he found out that mommy knew about us but suddenly it changed and disappeared when he heard that my mom knew about the game.

"By the way, mommy is inviting you home. On the 22nd, it's her birthday." he said and then looked at his cellphone.

"ok" I answered shortly

A few minutes passed and he ignored me. I immediately approached him.

"are you mad?" I asked and he shook his head. "Then why are you quiet?" I asked again.

He looked at me seriously. "nothing, just eat now" he said coldly.

"Anyway, I'm leaving by 2 pm, I have training" he said.

I kept quiet and kept thinking about what I had done wrong.

I looked at him. His face was still devoid of emotion and his attention was focused on his cellphone.

"Did I do anything?" I asked calmly.

"What?" he said wonderingly.

"You're just like that when you don't like something" I said while bending down and holding back my tears.

"I thought it was clear to us that no one would know that it was only 3 months" he began. "I don't want your parents to think I'm like another man" and I looked at him. Suddenly tears fell in his eyes so I immediately approached him.

"Even if it's just a game, you're still my girlfriend. Even if it's just a game in front of other people, you're still my girlfriend. I don't want other people to think I'm just fooling you" and her tears continued to flow.

"Are you crying?" I asked while wiping his face. "sorry" I said and I hugged him.

"its ok, atleast now I know for you it's really just a game" he said and then he went to his car and left as fast as he can.

I immediately called him on his cellphone but he did not answer.

I did nothing but text him and let him cool down first so I went straight to the bedroom and went to bed.

A few days also passed without talking and he never message me. He always ignore me when we're as school. Even our friends is not happy for what's happening.

While in the room and wondering if I should call him or text him, suddenly there was a knock on the door

"come in" then mommy came in.

"why are you crying?" mommy asked. "you fought?" I can't answer. I don’t know if we had a fight or a quarrel or a misunderstanding.

"Sweetie, I know you're scared" then mommy hugged me. "I know I also told you to protect your heart and don't let your heart fall in love at him. But from what I see of him, he's a good person and he won't hurt you" said mommy.

"But why am I hurt, mom?" I said then tears welled up in my eyes.

"I shouldn't be in pain but why the pain is here" then I pointed to my heart.

"because sweetie you love him and I see it in your eyes " he answered me.

"Son, just because you two started the game doesn't mean you'll end because of the game." mom said

"Just give him time, sweetie ok?"she said then she left the room. For a few minutes I was stunned when my cellphone suddenly rang

"Cia, it's me, Airene. It's Aaron" as soon as Airene said Aaron's name I immediately turned around and sat down.

"W-why?" I asked.

"We met at a bar. He's very drunk. I'll send you our location" she said the she hang up. after the call I immediately got dressed and told mommy that Aaron was going and took me to the bar that was sent by Airene.

"oh my, aaron, what are you doing" I said while confused and didn't know what to do with him.

"what happened? This is the first time he got drunk like this" said airene while helping me lift Aaron.

"I'll explain later" I said we immediately left the bar and got in the car.

I don’t know where I’m going to take him. I haven't been to their house yet because we always went to see Mark or Airene. So I decided to take him home.

When we got home I immediately took him to a guest room. Mommy saw us with Aaron.She immediately took a small basin with lukewarm water.

Arriving in the room we immediately laid him on the bed.

"So, what happened?" said Airene while looking at me.

I bowed before I could speak. I don't know how to start. "He came here to the house the other day" after I said I suddenly burst into tears. "because mommy knows about us, it's all about the relationship we have" I continued then I had the courage to look up and face Airene.

Airen raised his right hand while raising her three fingers, a hint asking if even the duration of three months was included so I nodded.

"Then he said, he thought it was clear that only the two of us would know about us, especially the three months. It's ok with me to keep it private I mean the time span of our relationship, but I can't lie to my mom. She's the only one I have "I explained.

Airene approached and tried to stop me from crying and she wipe my face full of tears.

"Shh, don't cry. You two should talk again and explain your reason to him." he says.

I immediately wiped my face and looked at Aaron.

"s-sor-rry" stuttered Aaron.

"Shhh, just sleep" I said while lightly tapping his head. Then he sleep again and I thought he's having a dream.

"By the way, do you want to spend the night here first? It's getting dark, you might have a hard time coming home. You can go to my room. I mean you can sleep there and I'll just be here in the guest room, I'll watch over Aaron "I said.

She shook his head and smiled. "No, I called daddy earlier, and he'll pick me up" he said.

We went down temporarily to wait for the driver to come. Just a few minutes later someone blew a horn in the car

"That's daddy" said airene then she stood up and walked out of the house. I followed him and before he left I called him and he turned to me.

"thank you" I said and then hugged him.

"It's nothing, go ahead." she said then she got into the car.

"Be careful!" I shouted.

When I noticed that they were already out of the gate, I immediately entered the house and went back to the guest room and found the a towel then I wiped it at Aaron's face.

"mom, let me do that" when I approached I took the towel in mom's hand.

"I suddenly missed your daddy" when I heard the word daddy, my eyes suddenly watered.

I was only two years old when we lost daddy due to a car accident. I don't even remember dad and me being together. I can't even remember his face. If it weren’t for the pictures left here at home, I wouldn’t be able to see what she looks like.

"When we were young, your daddy was like that. When we were having a hard time, he also went to the bar to vent his anger. He never laid a hand on me or said hurtful words to me." smiling mommy's story.

"When we fight, he suddenly leaves because he doesn't want to say bad things." and she suddenly looked at me.

"I know he's a good person. I also know he loves you." after mommy said she got up and left the room.

At the last mommy said, I automatically felt a shiver and I knew I was blushing.

"I love you, I love you so much" I turned my attention to Aaron who suddenly spoke.

I smiled at what he said but it suddenly disappeared when I thought that maybe those words weren't for me. So I sat on the floor and took his hand and automatically closed my eyes.

As I was about to sleep I heard a phone's ringing. It's not familiar to me so I assume it's Kyle's phone.

After finding his phone, I looked at it and I saw it was named mom so I answered it.

"Hello?" I heard a female voice.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Is this Patricia?" she asked so I answered yes.

"Good evening, yes it's patricia. Aaron's here at our home. He's too drunk when Airene saw him so she called me. I really don't know what's your address and out of panic, I bring him here in our home" I said even if she didn't ask because I know she'll ask where are we.

"Oh thank God he's fine. Anyway, please take care of him I'll pick him up tomorrow if it is fine with you" she said then the nervous I felt fade.

"Yeah sure, it's fine. Don't worry I'll take care of him." I answer happily.

"Thank you, and I'm sorry for the trouble my son made" she said and i feel the sincerity in her voice.

"Don't worry about it, he's not a trouble" after I say ut, I look at Aaron whose still sleeping peacefully.

"So, I guess I'll just call you tomorrow morning through my son's phone. Go ahead and sleep, it's already midnight" she said then she hang up.

after our conversation i put back Aaron's phone at his pocket then I sleep at the sofa.
