The oasis was lush and fresh in a way the desert surrounding Seth"s compound definitely wasn"t. All around me, the sounds of life and nature filled the air, welcoming me to the tranquil spot in the middle of nowhere. I couldn"t believe I"d never been here before. Or that Seth hadn"t destroyed it yet. Maybe there was something magical about the oasis that meant he couldn"t. A small path wound its way through the trees, and I followed it despite not knowing whether I was heading in the right direction or not. This seemed like the most logical path, but my letter hadn"t specified where I was supposed to go other than the oasis as a whole. The further in I got, the less I worried about this being a trap from Seth. He might enjoy toying with people, but I doubted he had the patience to wait
