I got up and went to the bathroom to get more towels. I gave Alex a cold compress. Her teeth are chattering from her high fever. I checked her temperature and it’s up again. It’s higher than the last one and I began to panic.
I linked Linc and asked him to bring a basin and fill it with ice. I don’t know what’s happening to Alex, but this is not just a bad cold.
Linc came in as fast as he could with the things he requested and he looked worried about Alex too.
“Should we take her to the hospital?”
I shook my head. “Get the doctor, Linc.”
Linc left the room and, once again, I was left alone with her. I tried to talk to Storm but she wouldn’t answer me.

But Cloud refused to talk to me. It’s frustrating. I poured some water on the basin and then
