I know she was getting frustrated with me, but tonight we were going to go out with everyone to have a family dinner. I grabbed the rose I picked up on break for her and left work as quickly as I could. My dad smiled but shook his head as I ran out of the office.
I just wanted to be close to her. Every minute away felt like ages. I pulled into the driveway and saw Levi’s car was here. I still didn’t like having him around. I felt like I was always in competition with him.
When I opened the door I saw that the T.V was on.
“Hey,” I took off my coat, and walked to the couch.
Claire was fast asleep on Levi’s lap, a blanket draped over her. The fruit bowl on the table was full. She must’ve been really tired if she didn’t finish eating.
