CHAPTER 30 ROB’S POV The aroma in the kitchen smelled of garlic and dried herbs. Jenna stood by the kitchen counter cutting and stirring at the same time. She looked beautiful this way—relaxed and composed, in my house where she belonged. “You know you’re cutting those wrong.” I said, teasingly. “Says the man who doesn’t even know how to cook.” A smile formed on my face. “That was just one time.” Jenna chuckled lightly. “I’m glad you admitted it.” For a moment it was strange how normal everything felt. Like hadn’t been living in two different storms for the past weeks. I’d never have imagined us both, talking and laughing happily in the kitchen.
