ISABELLE’S POV
I knew at that moment something was wrong when I heard sirens blaring across the neighborhood.
Or maybe it’s a fire? I thought to myself. Out of curiosity, I stepped out to see where it was going to.
My feet carried me through the sidewalks and then behind a corner. Close enough to see what was going on and not being seen at the same time.
I ducked behind the shadows of a fence post and there it was. Red and blue lights flashing around Robs house. Did something happen to him?
First a woman walked in and out of the house, like she was directing the paramedics on where to go after which a stretcher pulled out from the doors towards the ambulance, jenna was on it, with hands clutched on her belly. Rob followed, muttering inaudible words to her.
