“I had a feeling you would say that.” He would have to make sure he saw her each day to keep his wolf in check. Being separated was going to be a challenge, especially knowing there was another male trying to go after her. Returning to Warrior House, Mattie felt the pull of the bond when she left Hunter. It was hard leaving him, but they both had work to do. She was thankful not many people were up when she returned to the house. Not wanting to interact with anyone, Mattie retired to her room for the night. She hardly slept. Thoughts of her and Hunter occupied her mind. She was mated. That was still a shock, but it felt good.
