Elara shut the door to her room, leaned against the door. Her eyes scanning her room, decorated in forest green and black

She couldn't help but smile sadly, she couldn't believe she was back from London after five years away. She sighed and took a deep breath- really deep

She's back for a fresh start, sound easy tho, but definitely one of the hardest thing to do

It's been 2 months since the incident, but the guilt and pains still feel like yesterday

She glances at her wrist, recalling how she attempted suicide

*London's bridge 2weeks ago 9:40PM*

Just as she jumped off the bridge, a strong hand clamped around hers, stopping her from falling

Her body jerked violently, a small cry escaped her as she hung there, her heart slamming hard against her chest. She couldn't breathe properly

"Don't...." the voice above her broke and urgent

Tears slipped from her eyes, falling into emptiness below. Her fingers trembled

"Let me go" she whispered, her voice barely there

His grip only grew firmer

"No."

She shook her head weakly, tears blurring everything, she tried to look up, but couldn't see his face. Her vision was clouded, drowned in tears

"I can't do this anymore...." She choked

A small crowd had gathered, their faces pale, eyes wide with disbelief, others shouting, urging him to pull her up

"Did she just attempt to end her life

"He's a life saver, thank goodness

"Isn't that singer Elara D'rick!!!

"Please don't let go of his hand

With a sharp pull, he dragged her back over the bridge, and she collapsed onto the ground

She looked shattered, shabby and disheveled, her hair falling over her face

She cried uncontrollably, "Why do i get to live, when he doesn't?" She kept murmuring through her sobs "I'm the reason he's gone. It's all my fault......"

He stepped closer and knelt in front of her, she kept her head down, her gaze on the ground.

He sighed deeply "You're going through a lot right now" he said gently "and that's understandable, but trying to end your life.... that's not the answer"

She slowly lifted her face to look at him. Her green hazel eyes clouded with tears didn't go unnoticed

She shook her head weakly "No....... you don't understand" Her voice trembled "You could've just let me die, I don't deserve to live" she yells angrily

He scoffed in disbelief "I don't see any reason for you to give up on your life" He muttered honestly "But if you insist on ending your life.

There are alot of ways to do it, without creating a scene on London's bridge, in your next attempt, choose somewhere private so no one could stop you. Just couldn't witness another bridge suicide" He stood up, walking towards his bike.

He hopped on it, gave her one last glance and took off

The next thing she remembered was waking up in a hospital

There was no one in sight, just foods, fruits and flowers.

The door opened with a soft creak and Ivanna stepped in, closing it gently behind her. She set down what she had brought, and took a seat beside Elara's bed

She held her hand, squeezing it softly, her gaze fixed on it as tears slipped down and landed on her skin. Quickly, she wiped them away

"Aunt Ivanna.... I'm sorry... I"

She couldn't say more, realizing how stupid and unreasonable it was trying to end her life

She took a tissue from the drawer besides the bed, wiping off Ivanna's tears

"5-years of living together, were the best moments of my life"

More tears slipped down "I always looked forward to spending the next day with you. I love you like you're mine, spending time together fills the voids in my life, and I saw more reason to live"

She sniffles, stroking Elara's hair "I gave up my life Lara" she let out a small sad laugh " my happiness and everything just so you could live"

Elara was in tears, she clenched her fist on her gown

"Baby... how could you?" her voice broke "How could you give up just because he's gone?"

"What about us- your family? What about everyone who cares about you? Does none of that matter?" Her voice caught as emotions overwhelmed her

Elara shook her head in tears "I... I shouldn't have done that. I'm sorry, truly sorry. I got overwhelmed, and wasn't thinking straight, and I...I thought was the only way out at the time" she swallowed her voice unsteady "I know you're disappointed... and angry. You have every right to be" she threw herself into her arms, clinging to her like she might fall apart without her

Ivanna held her close, placed a soft kiss on her forehead" Promise me that not like that would happen again?" Ivanna pulled away from the hug, and staring into her eyes

"I promise aunt..... No matter what happens, no matter the circumstances I won't give up on life." She answered sincerely

The knock on her door, made her snap to reality

"Come in"

Her mom peeped through the door, walked in and shut the door behind her

She took a seat beside Elara on the bed. "Baby I made lunch, and it's your favorite dish, you promised Ivanna that's you won't skip your meals and you skipped breakfast"

Elara held her mom's hand her gaze fixed on it, lifted her head up and met her eyes."Mom, I'm not hungry, I would eat later" she muttered with a smile

Erica let out a sigh, "Okay princess. well, your friends are here they're downstairs and remember that were here for you"

"Ok.. thank you so much mum "

She left the room, and Elara release a breath she didn't know she was holding.

The door creak open, the girls walked in holding numerous packages

Elara narrowed her brows, "what's going on?"

Navy and Amelia exchanged glances

Navy cleared her throat "Well, we're celebrating you"

Elara smiled amusingly "That's hilarious, celebrating me... How?? "

Amelia reached out to Elara and held her hands helping her up, then placed her arm across her shoulder

"SURPRISE..... " They both scream, Amelia handed the letter to her

Elara glances at her, then opened it and read through it

She scoffed in disbelief, "Nahh, you're both joking, you transfer me to Hillview University without my consent? Sorry to burst your bubbles, I will not and will never attend Hillveiw university" Her voice lacing angrily

"C'mon girl, it was meant to be a surprise, and i wasn't expecting this kind of reaction" Navy said sounding hurt

Zoey wanted to open the door, but Navy's voice made her stop, she stood eavesdropping

Elara rolled her eyes, not buying their excuse, whatsoever they're saying

"Well, it was all aunt Ivanna idea, and do you how happy I was when she informed us about it, i was incredible happy, cos we're going to be together after 5years Lara" Amelia yelled as tears slipped out of her eyes

Navy glared Elara "Whatsoever you decision is, just have it in mind that, I'm done with you, Amelia I'm outta here" she picked her bag and head towards the door

Zoey immediately hide as Navy walked out

Amelia glances at ELara and made her way out
