"Mama!" The excited shouts of her twin sons, Ethan and Liam, echoed as they spotted her near the black SUV. Her best friend, Lianna, and Lianna's boyfriend of five years, Trey, had driven them all the way to the South. Eloisa knew her upcoming work commitment would keep her away for two to three days, and she was incredibly grateful for their help.
“I miss you kids so much! How was the six-hour drive?” Eloisa asked, her voice warm as she knelt down to greet them.
“We had fun, mom,” Ethan replied immediately, his small arms wrapping around her neck for a quick hug before he planted a kiss on her cheek. Liam followed suit, his eyes bright.
“We ate a lot of fruits!” Liam announced proudly, puffing out his chest a little.
