CHAPTER THREE: THE POWER WITHIN YOUYou Are a Carrier of Power

1373 Words
The Discovery That Changes Everything One of the greatest discoveries a human being can ever make is not about the world—it is about themselves. Long before you search for success, before you chase opportunities, before you look for validation, before you struggle to “become something,” there is a foundational truth you must settle: You are not empty. You are a carrier of power. This truth is the difference between people who live limited lives and those who live impactful lives. Because the moment you understand that power already exists within you, your approach to life changes completely. You stop begging for permission. You stop waiting for external rescue. You stop believing you are insufficient. Instead, you begin to live from awareness, not emptiness. This chapter is not just information—it is awakening. It is designed to help you recognize, understand, and activate the power within you. 1. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A CARRIER OF POWER? To carry power means to possess internal capacity for influence, creation, transformation, and impact. Power is not only physical strength. It is: Mental ability Emotional intelligence Creative expression Spiritual awareness Decision-making capacity Influence over environments Every human being carries these dimensions in varying degrees, but they exist in everyone. You are not trying to get power—you are trying to discover and activate what is already present. Power is Potential Energy Just like electricity stored in a battery, power exists even when it is not expressed. A battery that is not in use is still a battery. A seed that has not grown is still alive. A mind that has not been activated is still powerful. The absence of expression does not mean absence of power. It only means absence of activation. 2. YOU WERE DESIGNED WITH INNER CAPACITY Human beings are the most complex and capable beings on earth because they were designed with layered intelligence. Inside you exists: (a) Creative Power The ability to imagine, design, and create something new. (b) Intellectual Power The ability to think, analyze, solve problems, and reason. (c) Emotional Power The ability to feel deeply and connect with others. (d) Spiritual Power The ability to sense purpose, meaning, and divine direction. (e) Willpower The ability to make decisions and stick to them. These are not external gifts—they are internal systems. You are a system of power. 3. WHY MOST PEOPLE DO NOT FEEL POWERFUL If everyone carries power, why do so many people feel powerless? The answer is simple: unactivated power feels like absence. When power is not used: It feels like weakness It feels like confusion It feels like limitation But the truth is, it is not absence—it is inactivity. Three Main Reasons People Feel Powerless 1. Lack of Awareness They do not know what they carry. 2. Lack of Use They do not practice or express what they carry. 3. Negative Conditioning They have been told they are not enough. 4. THE STORY OF UNUSED POWER Imagine a man who owns a generator but never switches it on. He sits in darkness, complaining about electricity. He says: “There is no light in my house.” “Life is hard.” “I am struggling.” But the truth is not that he lacks power. The truth is that he has not activated it. This is how many people live their lives. They carry greatness but live in limitation because they never activate what they already have. 5. MY PERSONAL REALIZATION OF INNER POWER There was a time in my life when I did not fully understand the power I carried. I was deeply passionate about spoken word poetry and writing. From secondary school into university, I consistently wrote pieces filled with emotion, depth, and meaning. I had something inside me. But I did not fully express it. I wrote—but I did not perform. I created—but I did not release. I carried power—but I did not activate it. And for a long time, I thought I was just “trying.” But I later realized something important: I was not lacking power—I was just not expressing it. The moment I began to step into public speaking, something changed. I realized: My voice had weight My words had influence My presence had impact The power was always there—it just needed activation. 6. POWER WITHOUT EXPRESSION IS UNUSED POTENTIAL Power is only meaningful when it is expressed. Unexpressed power leads to: Frustration Confusion Stagnation Inner dissatisfaction A person who carries power but refuses to use it becomes internally restless. This is why many people feel like “something is missing” even when nothing is physically wrong. What is missing is expression. 7. HOW POWER MANIFESTS IN HUMAN LIFE Power in you manifests in different ways: (a) Through Speech Your words can build or destroy, inspire or discourage. (b) Through Creativity Your ability to produce ideas, art, innovation, and solutions. (c) Through Leadership Your ability to influence direction in people and environments. (d) Through Discipline Your ability to control your actions and habits. (e) Through Presence The energy you carry in spaces. Every time you act in alignment with these, your power becomes visible. 8. WHY PEOPLE SUPPRESS THEIR POWER Many people suppress their power because of: Fear of Judgment “What will people say?” Fear of Failure “What if I try and it doesn’t work?” Fear of Visibility “I don’t want attention.” Comfort Addiction “It is easier to stay hidden.” But suppression does not remove power—it only hides it. 9. POWER GROWS THROUGH USE One of the most important truths about power is this: Power increases through expression. A speaker becomes more powerful by speaking. A writer becomes more powerful by writing. A leader becomes more powerful by leading. Unused power does not grow—it decays. 10. PRACTICAL EXAMPLE: THE UNEXPRESSED SINGER A person has a beautiful voice but never sings publicly. They: Sing alone Avoid exposure Fear criticism But one day, they decide to join a small platform. At first: They are nervous Their voice shakes They feel exposed But after repeated expression: Confidence grows Skill improves Influence increases What changed? Not the voice—the activation. 11. POWER REQUIRES RESPONSIBILITY Carrying power is not just a privilege—it is a responsibility. This is why I often declare: “Ability without responsibility is a liability.” Because: If you can influence but refuse to, lives remain unchanged If you can create but refuse to, ideas remain unborn If you can lead but refuse to, direction is lost Power demands expression. 12. THE DANGER OF IGNORING YOUR POWER Ignoring your power leads to: (a) Internal Frustration You feel like you are not living fully. (b) Regret You begin to wonder what could have been. (c) Identity Confusion You do not fully know who you are. (d) Missed Impact Lives you were meant to touch remain untouched. 13. STEPS TO AWAKEN YOUR POWER 1. Awareness Recognize that you carry something valuable. 2. Acceptance Stop denying your abilities. 3. Expression Begin to use what you have. 4. Consistency Repeat action until strength develops. 5. Expansion Increase your capacity through learning and exposure. 14. PRACTICAL EXAMPLE: THE SPEAKER WHO GREW Someone afraid of public speaking begins small: Speaking alone Speaking to friends Speaking in small groups Speaking publicly Over time: Fear reduces Skill increases Influence expands Power is not created—it is revealed through use. 15. YOU ARE NOT WEAK—YOU ARE UNACTIVATED This is one of the most important truths in this chapter: You are not powerless. You are not incapable. You are not empty. You are simply unactivated power. CONCLUSION: THE AWAKENED REALITY The moment you realize that you are a carrier of power, your life cannot remain the same. Because: You stop waiting You start acting You stop doubting You start expressing Power within you is not meant to remain hidden. It is meant to be released. FINAL CHARGE You are not ordinary. You are not empty. You are not powerless. You are a carrier of power. And the world is waiting for your expression.
