He reaches past me for the towel hanging on the hallway hook, and the movement brings him close enough that I catch the heat coming off his skin. “You’re not the other guys.” “Because I’m a woman? That’s the dumbest thing I’ve heard all day” “Because you’re new, you’re living in my place, and the second something goes sideways with you it lands on me.”
