"HEY CHICA!!! My best friend Reese yelled as I walked in the building. "I missed u girlie" I said to her. She had went to warrior camp over the summer so we hadn't kept in touch other than the occasional phone calls here and there. We quickly proceeded to the office to get our schedules for this semester. On the way there I run into my guy friend Alec. "What's up LEE?? Look he's the only guy allowed to call me that!! He puts his arm around my neck. I jokingly remove his arm as we approach the secretary. THE THREE AMIGOS HUH, Mrs. Taylor says as she gives us our schedules. "YOU KNOW IT" we all say at the same time. I don't know what I would do without these two people in my life. We hurry out the office headed for the first class we have together: English. Hopefully Alec is in this class, and not MICAH!! Well looks like luck was not on my side. Ms. McNeil our English was a tool! For some reason she gave me a hard time. Yes I had a A+ In her class, but I earned every bit of it. I never slacked, even though I was taunted almost everyday. I prayed a lot. And I was determined that was gonna get a full academic scholarship. Of course I only told my 2 best friends that. The class quickly filled with students. "Everyone please be seated Ms. McNeil exclaimed. 'We shall begin shortly." I took the back desk, but it far enough to where see was she was doing on the board. "I hope everyone is done with their reports' I told u last Friday that we're due today," I could hear a few people groan in frustration. I just laughed silently. I had mine done ahead of time. She came collected them all, and dropped them on her front desk. She turned to the class. "Some of u are just barely hanging on this class." And I also know that this is not the easiest class. 'But I wouldn't have u do do any assignment that I know u couldn't complete.' So here's what I'm going to do. I'm gonna pair u up in groups of 2's. Your assignment is to do a report on 'How to be your Best Self ' Even more groans were heard the room. "And I'm doing the pairing." the teacher said. Apparently the students didn't like that part not one bit. "Micah, Ellie, pair up!" I Inwardly ground. Wow! Why is this happening to me. Does the universe hate me or what? Micah gives me the stink eye. Well, it's not my fault this happened. I turned to Micah. 'Look, I .... He turns to me and says "Look, let's just get started on this now and get it done. 'I wanna spend as less time with as possible, okay?" Mr. McNeil gets everyone's attention. 'You have 2 weeks to complete this assignment. Remember this counts for 50% of you grade." After he finished pairing everyone up. the bell rung, signaling the end of class. Next class is Biology. YES!! No Alec!! I put my items back in my backpack, and quickly rush out of class like a girl on a mission! I'm ready to see my chica Reese! I go to my locker to get my Biology book. My locker is right next to hers. 'Well, spill, Reese exclaims...
