Damen (POV)
I watched the way her eyes turned moist because of my words. But yet she hid behind a smile and looked at me.
“Okay, I won’t again. How are you feeling?” she asked again. My heart was beating so fast, and I was just hurt. I wanted to pull her to a hug and kiss her, but I can’t do that. The things that happened were already enough.
My body began to tremble, remembering how she gave half of her soul to me. No ordinary wolf can do it, but she just did it. I clutched the bedsheet tightly and looked into her gorgeous blue eyes, which were filled with love, care, and worry for me.
“Asteria.. Don’t come to see me again. I’m feeling good and she’s here to take care of me.” Tears filled in her eyes, and her lips parted as if she was going to say something, but she bit her lower lip
