Asteria (POV)
“You can’t be with him, he’s just a soldier. How can you fall in love with him?” I was grabbed by a woman who was wearing noble clothes as she shouted at me. Tears filled in my eyes because of what she just said. She was my mother but why hurt me?
“He’s not just a soldier, mother.. He’s a warrior and he won three battles at once” I shouted back at her. Soon after a ruthless slap landed on my right cheek. I looked at my mother who was looking at me with tear filled eyes.
“You’re shouting at your mother just because of that bastard? What did he give you to love him this much?” I bit my lower lip and looked down. I was hurt and I don’t understand why they are asking me not to love him.
“He gave nothing but love, and are you telling me not to love my own mate?” I asked her.
