Ava********
"Ava, I want you," Tyler said, his eyes burning with desire. "I can't hide it anymore."
My heart raced as he moved closer, his face inches from mine. I could feel the heat between us, the tension building.
Just as our lips were about to meet, Richard burst into the room, his face red with anger. "Tyler, what the hell are you doing?!" he thundered.
I stood up, trying to calm him down. "Richard, please..."
But he wasn't having it. "You!" he pointed at me. "I just apologized to you, and now you're doing this? I know we had a contract, but we're married, Ava. Or have you forgotten?"
He grabbed my hand, pulling me towards his room. I struggled to free myself, but he held tight.
Tyler just smirked, a knowing glint in his eye. "Looks like you're in trouble, Ava," he said, his voice low and husky.
I shot him a furious glance, but Richard just dragged me away, leaving Tyler to laugh softly to himself.
Richard pulled me into his room, slamming the door shut behind us. "How could you, Ava?" he demanded, his eyes blazing with anger. "I thought we had something real."
I tried to explain, but he wouldn't listen. "You're still mine, Ava. Contract or not, you're my wife. And you'll do as I say."
I felt a surge of defiance. "No, Richard. I won't be controlled by you anymore. I have feelings for Tyler, and I won't deny them."
Richard's face turned red with rage. "You'll regret this, Ava. You'll regret crossing me."
Suddenly, the door burst open and Tyler walked in, a confident smirk on his face. "I think Ava's made her choice, Richard. And it's not you."
Richard's eyes narrowed. "You'll pay for this, Tyler. You'll pay for stealing my wife."
The tension in the room was electric, the air thick with hostility. I knew I had to act fast, before things escalated further.
"Stop it, both of you!" I shouted, my voice firm. "This is ridiculous. We're adults, for crying out loud. Let's act like it."
The two men glared at each other, but I stood my ground. "I'll make my own decisions, thank you very much. And right now, I choose Tyler."
Richard's face fell, his eyes filled with a mixture of anger and sadness. "Fine, Ava. Have it your way. But you'll regret this.
Tyler smiled, his eyes gleaming with triumph. "I think Ava's made her choice clear, Richard. And it's not you."
Richard's face twisted in anger, but he seemed to realize he was beaten. "Fine," he spat. "Have her, Tyler. But you'll never have the company. That's mine, and I'll do whatever it takes to keep it."
Tyler shrugged. "I don't want the company, Richard. I want Ava. And I'll do whatever it takes to keep her."
I felt a surge of emotion at Tyler's words, my heart racing with excitement. I knew I had made the right choice.
Richard turned to me, his eyes cold and hard. "You'll regret this, Ava. You'll regret choosing him over me."
I stood tall, my voice firm. "I doubt it, Richard. I'm done with your lies and manipulation. I'm done with being controlled. I'm choosing Tyler, and I'm choosing freedom."
Richard's face turned red with rage, but Tyler just smiled, his arms opening wide. "Come on, Ava. Let's leave him to his tantrum. We have a future to build."
I walked into Tyler's arms, feeling a sense of peace and happiness wash over me. I knew I had made the right choice, and I knew that nothing could ever tear us apart.
I sat at the breakfast table, sipping my coffee and enjoying the peaceful morning. Tyler had already left for work, leaving me to my thoughts.
Just as I was starting to relax, Richard walked in, his face somber. "Ava, we need to talk," he said, his voice low and serious.
I looked up at him, a sense of trepidation building in my chest. "What is it, Richard?"
He sighed, his eyes filled with a mix of sadness and anger. "I know you think you've made the right choice, but trust me, you haven't. Tyler is not what he seems. He's using you, Ava. He's using you to get back at me."
I raised an eyebrow, skeptical. "That's not true, Richard. Tyler loves me. And I love him."
Richard shook his head, his expression unyielding. "You're blinded by your feelings, Ava. You don't see the truth. But I'm not going to stand by and watch you ruin your life. I'm terminating our contract, and I want a divorce."
My heart skipped a beat as he pulled out a stack of papers and slapped them down on the table. "Sign it, Ava. You've made your choice. Now live with it."
I looked at the papers, my mind racing. I had expected this, but a part of me was still shocked. I had thought Richard would fight harder to keep me.
But as I looked up at him, I saw the resolve in his eyes. He was done with me. And I was done with him.
I smiled, a sense of liberation washing over me. "You know, Richard, I think this is for the best. I don't love you. And I never have."
Richard's face twisted in anger, but I just shrugged. "Sign the papers, Ava," he spat. "And get out of my life."
I picked up the pen and signed the papers, feeling a sense of freedom wash over me. I was finally free from Richard's grasp, free to be with Tyler without any obligations or secrets.
As I handed the papers back to Richard, I saw a glimmer of sadness in his eyes. For a moment, I felt a pang of guilt, wondering if I had been too harsh. But then I remembered all the times he had manipulated and controlled me, and my resolve hardened.
"It's over, Richard," I said, my voice firm. "We're done. And I'm moving on with my life."
Richard's face twisted in anger, but he knew he had lost. He turned and walked away, leaving me to my newfound freedom.
I took a deep breath, feeling a sense of peace wash over me. I was finally free to be with Tyler, to love him without any secrets or lies. And I knew that our love would only continue to grow stronger.
Just then, my phone buzzed. It was Tyler. "Hey, beautiful," he said, his voice husky. "How's your morning going?"
I smiled, feeling a sense of joy. "It's going great," I said. "Richard just left. We're finally free to be together."
Tyler's laughter was music to my ears. "I'm on my way over," he said. "We have a lot to celebrate."
And with that, our new life together began.
Tyler arrived at my doorstep, a bouquet of flowers in hand and a smile on his face. "Hey, beautiful," he said, pulling me into a warm embrace. "I'm so proud of you for standing up to Richard. You're finally free."
I smiled, feeling a sense of relief and happiness. "I couldn't have done it without you, Tyler. You gave me the strength to stand up for myself."
Tyler's eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled. "You're amazing, Ava. And I'm so grateful to have you in my life."
We spent the rest of the day together, laughing and talking, our hearts full of joy. We knew that we still had challenges ahead, but we were ready to face them together.
As the sun began to set, Tyler took my hand and led me to the rooftop terrace. The city skyline twinkled below us, and the stars were beginning to shine in the sky.
"Ava," Tyler said, his voice low and husky. "From the moment I met you, I knew that you were special. And now, I can't imagine my life without you. Will you be my girlfriend, officially?"
My heart skipped a beat as I looked into his eyes. "Yes, Tyler. Yes, a million times yes."
And with that, we sealed our love with a kiss, the city lights shining bright below us.
