Criseda’s POV
The night was thick with tension as Wolfe and I made our way toward the back gate and I pulled my veil tighter around my face.
It was the only thing that made me less afraid of the danger as it shielded me from the light.
This wasn't right, sneaking out in the middle of the night, without a plan. But I had no choice. Not after everything that had happened today. Not after I had almost got caught by Alpha Kael but not for Gina.
Wolfe walked beside me, his eyes moving in every direction, always on alert. He had done his part, speaking with the guards, making sure they would turn a blind eye. It was risky, and I knew that. Too risky, but Alpha Luther needed to know. I couldn’t wait until tomorrow.
“We’re almost at the gate,” Wolfe whispered, his voice low but steady.
