After my altercation with Kaida that morning, I needed a moment to calm my nerves.
I headed straight for the shower, letting the water wash away the fear and frustration clinging to me.
Alpha Luther had always spoken about Kaida’s supposed powers, but I’d never actually seen them before.
That was until this morning when she flashed those terrifying eyes at me. And let me tell you, it wasn’t just a little unsettling. I was terrified.
I didn't wait around to see what else she could do—I bolted.
As much as I wanted to stand my ground, something about Kaida felt...dangerous.
I knew Alpha Luther would never listen to me if I asked him to send her away or lock her up somewhere.
He was set on using her powers, and nothing I could say would change that.
