Gina's POV
I gulped hard, looking down as I focused on Alpha Kael's bleeding fist.
“Uhm…” I stuttered, unable to find the right words.
“What did she want to tell me?” Alpha Kael asked again.
I knew exactly what Kaida had wanted to tell him. She was expecting his child, but he hadn’t been patient enough to let her explain.
I had made Kaida believe he knew about the pregnancy and had still decided to banish her so she'll just forget about him and move on.
Now, the guilt was eating me alive.
I stammered again and said, “Uhm… I’m sure she just wanted to apologize or she was just feeling guilty.” That was the only excuse I could muster.
“You knew she was going to do it?” Alpha Kael asked sharply.
“Do what, Alpha?” I asked, playing dumb.
“Kill my father,” he stated bluntly.
