Chapter 19: To SeaIF HE’D SLEPT, it hadn’t been for more than an hour or two. Most of the night he was as still as he could be, Olivia’s arm or leg, or both, draped over his body and her light breathing against the side of his neck. He stared at the window, knowing that the morning was coming, yet at the same time he wished it wouldn’t. As her window was backlit by the first stray bits of waning darkness, he slipped out from under her blanket and made his way downstairs, gathering up what he needed to make a pot of coffee.
