May Daniels.
Fury was the emotion I forced myself to focus on. Not his baby blue eyes, or his lips and definitely not his deep musky scent. No matter how delicious it was.
Sure, I was tingling all over. My skin felt heated. And I wanted to see for myself if those lips were as soft as they seemed. The way he gazed at me was so intense that I had to keep constantly remind myself that he is the bad guy! A stalker. It wouldn't do me any good to throw myself at him, no matter how good looking he seemed.
He was handsome as hell, I'll admit that much. Also smooth. And dangerous too.
He was staring at me with such ferocity that I found myself gulping... Not in fear, rather in anticipation. When he inched closer, and my heart rate accelerated. I could feel his hard chest against mine and I could tell that he was ripped. My fingers itched to run over his shoulders and arms. I internally cursed when my usually sleepy libido took this very moment to spring to life. And with Alex of all people.
There was just something in his baby blue eyes that called out to something dark and sinful within me. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, trying hard to ignore that male muskiness that has enveloped me.
No.
He was dangerous in some way I didn’t understand yet and I cannot have my life uprooted again.
With that last thought, I forced my knee as hard as I could into his sweet spot and only felt a little bad when he doubled over immediately in pain with a raspy curse. “f**k!”
“Did you really think I’m going to let you kiss me? I don’t even know you, dude.”
The only response I got was painful wheezing as he tried to breathe through the pain.
I rolled my eyes and unlocked my door, making sure to lock it again immediately. I didn’t trust him to stay put even in pain. Sashaying to the kitchen, I retrieved a bag of ice and feeling pretty good about myself. I might have hummed a little too.
He was leaning against the wall next to my door, still doubled over when I opened it again. “There you go.” The bag of ice landed near his feet. “Good night!” It was hard to keep the victory out of my words.

The alarm rang painfully near my left ear. I had placed it there so that I would get up on time. With barely three hours of sleep, it required super human strength.
Once my mind cleared off the drowsiness of my short slumber, the first thing that came into my mind was his face. Alex.
What a vivid dream?! It has to be a dream, right? There was absolutely no reason why he would look at me like that when men like him could have all the slim, sexy girls he wanted. No. If Alex came here, it would be to kill me. After all I did witness a crime. I was a liability.
But then I remembered the way he eyed me. It didn’t feel like he was there to kill. I sighed. This whole thing made my head hurt. I needed coffee.
A glance at the clock, made me move my ass. If I wanted to be on time to work, pushing Alex to the back of my mind would be the smart move.
The day went smoothly. Kids were in a good mood. There was new coffee machine in the break room for coffee addicts like me. To make things even better, the principal called me in. The head teacher for my preschool batch, Mr Benson was retiring soon. And I was given the position as the head teacher. In other words, a promotion.
So I was feeling pretty ecstatic. As I was catching up with paperwork at the end of the day, one of the office staff Jessie, caught up with me. Jess happened to be my best friend too.
"You seem happy today."
"I am."
“Did you have s*x?”
“Jess…” I rolled my eyes. My bestie’s go-to solution for happiness is dancing in the sheets. “I went jogging last night. Exercise triggers your brain to release the “feel-good” chemicals, remember?”
“Ughh…boring.”
"I have a happy news to share though."
“Yeah?”
"Benson is going to retire. I've been promoted as the head teacher to take his place."
"What! You've got to be the youngest head teacher ever! Congratulations May!"
"Thanks!" I grinned.
"We have to celebrate this. Let's go for drinks tonight. Its Friday and we don't have to work tomorrow. Its a perfect night to get drunk and wasted. Maybe even find a hottie to bring back home!" She squealed, her imagination getting ahead. Jess simply adores men. And they like her too.
I rolled my eyes. "I'm not the drinking type Jess, you know that."
"Ah c’mon! Don't be a spoilsport. Its okay to have fun once in a while."
"Well, let's see how okay? I'll let you know."
"In other words, no." Jess rolled her eyes.
I laughed. "You know me so well."
"Let's talk later Jess. I have to finish some paperwork before I can leave. You go on first."
"Alright, bye May!"
An hour later, I sauntered cheerfully to my car and stopped halfway in my tracks. There was someone leaning against my car. A man.
His back was facing me but his physique seemed awfully familiar. And that head of thick, dark hair.
Alex Kellen.
His fingers stopped typing on his phone abruptly as though he could feel my eyes on him. Turning around, his eyes find me almost immediately and my heart nearly stops at the look on his face.
His baby blue eyes had lightened up magnificently and lips split into a wide grin as though he was looking at his ultimate favourite person in the universe.
Me.
