The vampire leaned forward, her brows furrowing.
“Doing that would mean investigating your queen.” She said facing Doran. He nodded, that was the whole point of this. He wanted to know Vanna’s role in the whole situation. A light humourless laugh left Kali and he frowned. “You might not know this but there certain people we brokers avoid investigating. At the top of that is every single member of the immortal council.”
Doran shifted in his seat. Of course it wouldn’t be that easy to find anything out.
“This is important.”
“I don’t doubt the importance if you’re going as far as investigating your queen but I say this because I care about my safety. I like my current life.” Kali said spreading her hands out at ‘life’ “The last thing I need is to be targeted by the ‘demon wolf’.”
