Ripley had no idea how long he’d been running; trying to stop feeling the pain, letting his wolf howl in his head, occasionally setting free the howl of anguish because he just couldn’t keep it in anymore. He only knew that he had blocked countless mindlinks that had attempted to reach him. He stumbled in his run when he felt someone force a mindlink on him. There was only one person who could force a mindlink and that was his father. He didn’t want to talk to anyone, but there was no way for him to stop the link if his father forced it. It hurt when he did and he came to a stop in his run and he shook his wolf's head in pain. ‘Son...’ Ripley growled. He didn’t want to speak to anyone and he tried to block it again. ‘Son, we need you home.’ His father stated quietly. ‘I can’t.’
